Criminal minds oneshots.

ThErE wAs A sPiDeR

It was one of those days for Hotch.

Nothing was going right for him. He overslept, which made him late to work. Of course, there was no case today, so Hotch had to remain bored with paperwork.

He briefly stared out of his window in to the large room. He could see the rest of his team chatting together.

Hotch sighed. He had run out of coffee. And,just his luck, the coffee machine on his floor had broke. Reluctantly, he left the current floor to get a coffee from the room below.

Seeing him leaving, Emily and Rossi had quickly approached him. JJ was busy doing paper work in her room whilst Spencer and Derek spoke about something unrelated.

"Hotch, are you going to get coffee?" Rossi asked, putting his hand on Aaron's shoulder, "Cause if so, you don't mind if I come with you?" Emily nodded in agreement.

"I'm coming too! I ran out ages ago."

Hotch just nodded. In all honesty, he didn't really feel like talking.

After grabbing the coffee from the nearest working machine, the trio headed back up the stairs.

Suddenly, Hotch stopped. His eyes scanned over the room in front of him.

The desk ,that the BAU's resident genus, Reid, usually sat at, had been tipped over. JJ stood in the doorway of her old office with a confusion ridden face. On the opposite side to the room, Reid was squashed into a corner. Morgan stood directly beside him, almost like he was protecting him from something.

Hotch glared at the two men with the look that says 'tell me what happened, now!'

Reid panicked. "Hotch, I promise I can explain." He said with a shaky voice.

"Reid," Hotch started, stern but still somehow gentle, "please explain what happened."

"Please don't yell," Reid whispered. Hitch's previous look of anger had quickly turned to concern. What had happened while he was gone?

Quietly, Reid muttered something under his breath. "Spence, can you speak up?" JJ asked.

"There was a spider" He said, still quiet but just loud enough to hear. After speaking, Spencer's shoes suddenly became very interesting to stare at.

"A.... Spider?"

Reid didn't look up, so Morgan decided to explain. "The kid came over to me all panicked and so I asked him what was wrong. Turns out, there was a spider on his book so I did the only logical thing."

"Flip the whole desk over?" Hotch sighed

"Exactly!"

The team stared in silence for a few moments, speechless.Reid had been scared of spiders all these years and nobody had noticed.

"I'm sorry please don't get mad," Spencer apologised, slowly meeting his teams gaze.

"Hey, it's ok" Emily said in an attempt to make Reid feel a tiny bit better.

Hotch broke eye contact has he debated what to do.

"Well," Hotch announced, "let's start cleaning up."
