Third person
The soft sounds of a breeze sifting through the sand and clashing gently with the cave walls hailed the rise of the fiery sun, as it slowly climbed up in the sky and chased away the chills and shadows of the night. A flood of light crashed into the cave and brought the awakening of a s/c skinned kunoichi, the girl got up and silently walked out to the entrance of their temporary shelter.
Well now I know I can't trust this guy with keeping watch, she thought drowsily, taking one glance at the sleeping boy before sitting down just a few feet from the cave entrance and closing her e/c eyes.
Taking in quiet, yet deep, breaths and listening to all noises around her, she meditated until a shuffle of feet sounded behind her and went around to her front. 'Good morning, Kima.' The h/c haired girl signed without even revealing her striking e/c gaze.
"Oh good morning, y/n, how are you?" The misty purple haired woman greeted after letting out a yawn and checking their surroundings for any possible sandstorms or high winds.
'Quite alright, you?' The mute girl replied, her eyes now open and brightly staring up at the older female.
"I'm doing just fine, now I should go wake Rama. We'll be setting off soon so get your things together, okay?" Kima spoke as of she hadn't just woken up ten minutes ago and then headed off to wake her brother from his prolonged slumber after y/n nodded.

"I thought the village was closer than this." Another complaint, I swear if Rama doesn't stop complaining. I gritted my teeth in anger, Kima had specified that it would take another day to reach Suna and apparently Rama had forgotten.
"Oh shut up, Rama! Suna isn't that far away now." Kima retorted, she was also on her last nerve when it came to her younger brother's whining.
I stopped at the highest point of the next sand dune and stomped my foot, quite loudly, catching the attention of the bickering siblings. 'Why don't you look past this dune?' I signed.
The woman understood and gestured for Rama to follow, the view was of Suna as the sun slowly retreated behind the sandstone walls of the village.
"Come on you two, we should report our mission to Lord Gaara." The misty purple haired woman spoke sternly, which I decided was more directed at Rama rather than myself, and started walking once more.
~~~~~~~
(Yes we know lots of time skips, we're just trying to get to this main part.)"-so to end it, our mission was a success." Kima concluded her summary of the mission to the Kazekage and Rama spun on his heel, leaving the office.
I walked up to the young kage after Kima had left and looked over the tall stacks of paperwork to see the red haired boy busily signing papers and such, he seemed to notice my presence and looked up at me, "What do you need, y/n?"
'Just wondering if you would like some help, paperwork is truly every kage's weakness when it's stacked up like that.' I signed and he let a ghost of a smile haunt his face, then rummaged through a drawer and handed me a pen.
"Here you go, your help is greatly appreciated, y/n." He spoke and I nodded with a smile, taking the pen and helping the boy out.
That's how it went for the next three months, every day around the same time I would head up to Lord Gaara's office and help him out, If no help was needed I would just stay and talk, or in my case hand sign.
Over time we grew to be close friends and sometimes I would visit him just so I could have some company, since Shoku now worked full time at a restaurant.
the day of Naruto Shippuden episode 1"You should know you don't have to call me 'Lord Gaara' anymore, y/n, I don't mind." I looked up from my stack of papers and blushed faintly, why? Because over the past three months I've developed a crush on the kage. It wasn't a huge crush like Matsuri's, the brown haired girl that threatened me, nor a small crush that I had. It was a normal sized crush, because I don't believe that I would be good enough for Gaara to like back but I definitely have more of a chance than those fangirls of his.
'of course, Gaara.' I hesitantly signed back and went back to the paperwork, trying to hide the blush even if it was probably not even visible.
"I was thinking about inviting you to have dinner with me since you said your brother was worki-"
"Hey y/n! Guess who got off work today?" The door burst open to reveal my messy haired counterpart, Shoku.
'Really? I thought you said you had to work tonight.' I frowned.
"But I'm off now, isn't that great?!" He questioned excitedly and I let out a puff of air, getting up and looking to Gaara.
'Hey I'll be in the roof of you need me,' I then glanced at Shoku, 'We can talk later okay?' I walked out of his office and headed to the roof, looking out at the sandstone village and enjoying the quietness.
I then saw a flash of movement from above, a giant white bird with a figure in it
What the hell?
Oh man this is really bad 😣😣 sorry if it was cringy, we wanted to get to the shippuden episodes.
