Author POV
"Hey brats get down here now" The children's mother yelled "coming" they both said. "What is this?" Lucia(mom) said "sorry mom I dropped the vase earlier when I came back from school" Joslyn said quietly "well then seems you need punishment" Lucia said smirking "Honey come here" Lucia said "yes what's the problem?" He said confused "seems like Joslyn dropped the vase when she came home you know what to do" she said smirking.

"Please don't dad! Don't do it please I'll buy another one" Joslyn pleading "where will you get money from brat?" Her father asked "I-I will get a job" she said scared "but your only 10" he said laughing "Just please don't do it" she said hiding alyzae who was only 3 years old "come on brat let's go" he said pulling her arm away from her sister. "Please I'm begging you don't hurt her" she begged while crying. "Oh honey don't worry it's you who will get punished it's just your sister will watch" he said looking at alyzae.

He walked towards Joslyn holding a shard from the vase  she dropped. "Now why don't you be a dear and stay still for me" he said grabbing her tightly "no please not that" she screamed he covered her mouth to shush her. "You don't want the neighbors to hear or they will be killed right before your eyes" He said seriously Joslyn shook her head quickly. "Now keep quiet" he said smirking. He grabbed the shard tightly and picked up her arm he gently placed it to the closest vein he saw. He pushed it deep into her skin making the red liquid fall out of her arm making her squirm.

"No moving" he said she tried to move again only to be pushed back into a wall "I said don't move" he said scaring the poor girl. He did the same exact thing to the other side but went down all the way to her wrist. "Alright I did my part come do the rest" he yelled after he left Joslyn sat there holding her arms "alright dear now hold out your arms" Joslyn did as she was told but she regretted it. Lucia had a container of salt and poured it all over her wounds "what's the matter cat caught your tongue " she said smirking Joslyn shook her head no "alright scram up to your room and don't get out and take your stupid sister" Lucia said demanding Joslyn shook her head and took her sister who was crying. 'I wish you never saw this alyzae' Joslyn thought as she left to there room.

Jos POV

'I wish I wasn't born, I wish I didn't live here' I wish everything and everyone was normal' I thought in my head while putting alyzae to sleep 'but if it I wasn't born and if I didn't live here I would leave alyzae and she would be abused like I am now' I thought while going to my bed in don't belong here thought' I thought while crying quietly in my hoodie. I grabbed the first aid kit from under my bed and fixed up my wounds. My left arm covers completely in wraps and my right only covers half way. I grabbed the sharpest thing in my room which was scissors. I put the blade on my right arm and drew 2 lines as a marking of me and my sister. Some blood came out but stopped after a few minutes.

I drifted off to sleep to ignore all of my surroundings and had the best dream of my life.

~time skip 4 years later~ Jos POV

"Alyzae Joslyn get down here now" My mother said quite serious "did you do something alyzae?" I asked while going downstairs all she did was shake her head no "time for punishment" mom said "what did we do" I asked confused "it's not we it's alyzae" she said seriously "what happened?" I asked concerned for my sister "she told the school we were abusing you and her" she said laughing I looked at alyzae who was afraid for life "oh" was all I said standing infront if her "move dumbass" mom said to me pulling me away from alyzae. Before I could do anything she started to hurt her.

I saw alyzae crying and I had to stop what she was doing "MOM STOP IT YOUR HURTING HER" I yelled at my mother "SHUT UP YOU BRAT YOUR NEXT" She growled at me. I was worried but did the best thing I could do I ran in front of alyzae and took the hit "SISSY" I hear her yell out "I'm fine are you okay?" She nodded her then I felt another pain I saw my mother's belt in her hand hitting me. "Told you dumbass to stay away but did you listen no" she said pissed. She hit me again but this time she screamed. I looked to see the source of her screaming and it was a blade sticking out of her leg.

Now blood was coming out I her leg quickly she looked to see who did it and saw alyzae behind me "YOU LITTLE B****" she yelled out I looked to my little sister who had a bloddy knife in hand I immediately grabbed her hand and ran. I quickly opened the door and ran as far as I could to the closet police station. "Get back her brats" I could hear my mother yelling while my father looked for the keys. "Crap" I said loudly alyzae is besides me I saw a police station coming up "hurry let's go I see a police station up ahead" she nodded her head and we sprinted towards the station.

~few hours of explaining~

"Alright kids sit there and we will get your parents and arrest them" the kind police officer said "what will happen to me and my sister?" I asked scared "you and your sister will be moved out of this state and have the same identity but different last names" he said "thank you so much" I said crying "no problem kid" he said smiling and hugging me and my sister.

~few years later~

"What should we watch Jos?" Alyzae asked "i don't know" I said laughing at her face.....
