Episode 3: Cosmo Seeking! (Part 2)

Gary watched in shock. He just threw a Blast Seed at his teacher. All the other students were by Mr. Lamvert, helping him get back up. Once he did, he laughed a little.

"Oh, my! That was... shocking to say the least! Maybe we can come back to this later. It's ok. I'm used to it."

Gary chuckled nervously and headed back to his seat. He decided it would be best if he just kept his mouth shut. He didn't want to cause too much trouble. It was still his first day, after all. Some of the leaves in the room fell because of the explosion and the plants above shook heavily. Ellie burst into the room to check what happened.

"What happened here?! Mr. Lamvert! Are you alright? What are you doing?!" Ellie frantically cried. She checked the big, fluffy Gogoat to make sure that he was alright.

"I'm quite alright, Ellie. Please calm yourself. We were just experimenting with Blast Seeds! There was... a small accident as you may have heard, but everything is ok here." Mr. Lamvert replied calmly. It really did look as if nothing had happened... as long as you didn't look around the room.

"This room is a mess... I guess I'll have to clean this up later. Please be more careful, Mr. Lamvert." She said, crossly. Ellie left the room, closing the door behind her.

Brody looked over at Gary, curiosity in his eyes.

"You never told me that you were scared of explosives... Come to think of it, you've never really told me what you're scared of."

"Hehe... You always find out, no matter what. I never really told you that I was scared of leaves, but you found out. Maybe that's something you're good at?"

"Ha! As if. I'll find what I'm good at one day. I think I know what that thing might be already!"

"Is it becoming the best Rescue Te-"

"It's becoming the best Rescue Team out there!"

"I feel like all the other teams have said that as well... Everyone wants to have that title, but not many can have it."

"Gary, that pessimistic attitude isn't going to get us anywhere."

"Yes it has. It's gotten us in this classroom where both of us have messed up already."

Before Brody and Gary could continue, Mr. Lamvert interrupted.

"Phew... I think we've had an adventurous day and we haven't even gone outside! I think that will be it for today. Class dismissed. Have a good rest of your day, everyone!" Mr. Lamvert picked up a few berries that fell from the ceiling from earlier as the students left. Markus was waiting for them outside of the door.

"So how was your first day of class? I thought I saw Ellie scrambling around earlier muttering something about how she had to stay up late again."

"That might have been me..." Gary's tone came through as sheepish although he hoped that it hadn't.

"He threw the seed at Mr. Lamvert! It was hil- I mean it was very shocking."

"Heh- You two are quite the handful. There won't be another dull moment at this guild, that's for sure. I was waiting for you two because I wanted to show you two the way to your dorms. It isn't very far from here, so there's no need to worry."

"We get to stay here?" Brody was jumping with excitement, leaving little burn marks on the floor.

"Of course! All Rescue Teams receive living quarters in this guild. You will be very busy, after all."

Markus opened a door that led to a huge courtyard with a pond in the middle. Cherry Blossom Tress surrounded the perimeter and hid the dorms. The sun shone brightly above it all. Behind the pond was another big building with lots of Pokémon in it.

"These are your dorms! You'll be living here with your fellow Rescue Teammates! I hope you enjoy it here!"

Markus left them to look around the area and meet their new friends.

"It's so beautiful in here! How'd they get the trees to be like that?"

Brody was running around in awe, high-fiving anybody who happened to pass him.

"Here we go again..."

Gary grabbed Brody by the arm and dragged him into the hallway.

"You need to calm down. We need to focus, remember?"

"Right. Right. Thanks, Gary. Now, let's go!"
