Sophia's pov "Hey, mom, I'm home!" I hollered but no answer from my mom. She must be at work still..I sigh and walk to my bedroom setting my stuff down on my newly morning made bed. "Today was tough." I groan and face plant onto my bed.
Today out of all days is the anniversary of my father leaving. Year after year it has gotten easier to handle, but the thought of not having a father is hard. I brought my head to the side to breathe. My phone began to ring, it was Noah, picking up the phone I answer it, "Hello?" "Hey, I know what today is, so I was thinking, lets go to get Icecream!" "Noah...Its alright, no need to do this for me." I chuckled into the phone. "Oh come on, you should know me by now, I love hanging out with you, so whatcha say?" "Fine." I sigh hanging up.
Getting off my bed I walk to my closet to pick out some casual cute clothes, a white off the shoulder shirt and light pink high wasted jean shorts, and a couple of accessory's.

Smiling at myself I grab my car keys and my purse. Heading out of my apartment building I unlock my car and and get in. Starting my car I begin to drive to Noah's place.
Arriving to his place I honk my car to tell him I'm here, soon he walks out with some lovely roses, my favorite. Unlocking my car again Noah gets in. "Ooo, look at you!" He smiled. "Oh shut up!" I playfully hit his shoulder. "Oh, and I got you these." He handed me the roses. "Aw, Noah..you didn't!!!" I smiled and hugged him. "I love you dearly." I chuckle at those words. Those words came out of my mouth often, Noah and I have this bond that allows us to say those words to eachother. "I love you too." He smiled. "Lets get that Icecream you promised." I move out of his embrace and started up the car.
Arriving at the Icecream shop we order our Icecream and drove to the drive through. "Miss, here's your two Icecreams, vanilla with hardened chocolate, and a plan chocolate Icecream, small cones." Grabbing the Icecreams I hand Noah his plan chocolate Icecream. Noah always had that plan Icecream. Okay, sure I can't say much, I guess mine is plan as well. Licking my Icecream I chuckle. Noah put a bit of his Icecream on his finger, "No, don't you dare." I frowned. "I dare." He chuckled as he put that finger on my nose. I sigh and wiped the Icecream away.
~~~~~ I dropped Noah off and headed home. Locking my car a walk into my apartment building and headed to my apartment.
Opening my apartment door I walk in. Mom was still at work. Grabbing my phone I sign into my Instagram. "Hmmm." Oooh, this girl, she's so cute! Maybe I should message her, "Hey, I noticed you were so cute. And you seem really sweet. So I wanted to know if we could be friends? Also my name is Sophia." Few minutes passed, no answer. 30 minutes passed, ding. My phone went off.
"Yeah, most definitely! I would love to be friends, also cute name! Mine is Aspen."
"Cute! So how are you?"
"I'm normal, hbu?"
"I'm doing good, tell me about yourself. And then I'll tell you about me."
"Oh, okay! So my mother died in a car crash, my dad became very busy with work. I'm constantly stressed and my grade aren't so good. I am also 16, sophomore in highschool."
"I'm sorry to hear that, My father left when I was a kid, my mother works constantly. I'm in a year long relationship, I love to cook. I have a best friend, I cherish him dearly. Him and I have been friends for over 5 years. I am 17, and in sophomore year as well."
"This friend of yours, do you happen to like him?"
"I don't believe so, and anyway I have a boyfriend."
"So, where are you from?"
"Maine, you?"
"Texas."
"So we are 2,220 miles apart, damn."
"Haha, yeah."
I put my phone down, heading out of my room I head to the kitchen and make dinner.
