Walter Schlaepfer joined Merrill Lynch shortly afterearning degrees in general engineering and international relations from theU.S. Naval Academy in 1984. As a cadet, Schlaepfer served as Captain of thecrew team, an experience that developed into a lifelong passion for the sportof rowing. Deployed aboard the USS Constellation, Schlaepfer served as a NavyFlight Officer and flew an A-6 Intruder jet during his service tenure.Currently, Schlaepfer serves as a private wealth advisor at Merrill Lynch inBellevue, Washington.
