𝐆𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐨𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞

Chapter 1

Adelle's P.O.V :

I entered through the school's giant, majestic gate, walking hand in hand with my boyfriend Finn Wolfhard.

Typically, everyone glanced at us in admiration, then every pair of eyes followed us and my siblings, who were walking behind. I squeezed my boyfriend's hand in distress, and he squeezed mine back, reassuring me.

I don't always like crowds. Which is one of my many flaws. Along with my over-sensitivity and shyness.

As soon as I arrived in front of Mrs Flynn's class, who taught Biology, I let go of Finn's hand -finally- and he wrapped me in a big, soothing hug.

"Take care of yourself, princess. See you later."

He said after we let go. I wanted to hug him again, because I was nervous for no apparent reason, but I gave him one of my cute smiles, muttering a sweet reply. Then entered the classroom.

Typically, my twin brother Adam sat right next to me. I wasn't annoyed by that at all. You know who would get annoyed ? Allison. I think she's ashamed of us. Even if we were the most popular teens in the world.

I listened to the teacher explain things I didn't really care about. I had to listen, however, to keep my straight A's on.

As soon as the lesson was over, me and my twin got out of the classroom, and I headed to the locker room to bring my things for the next lesson.

I met my two best friends there, Lauren Orlando and Noah Jupe. Lauren had an older brother, Johnny, who was friends with Finn.

I had other friends too, but Lauren was my best friend since I was six, and when I turned ten, Noah moved from London to Toronto and we became friends. That's when I met Gjin too.

But- let's not talk about him at that moment.

All I'm saying is, I'm not a nervous wreck or a shy, overly-sensitive idiot when I'm around my friends. So that counts.

"So, guys.. I'm hosting a murder mystery party next week. Would you be interested to come ?"
I asked, a little nervous. They both nodded happily.

"Of course ! I love a great murder mystery party."

"Yeah, me too ! So we bring any costume? Like-"

I muttered a small "oh, right" and gave them their invitation, and their character introduction.
Typically, I wasn't playing any role. That would be cheating in my humble opinion.

"Oh, this is great ! I'm definitely coming."
Noah said enthusiastically in a strong, British accent.

I smiled at them, then began to ask other friends who should be available at the party's date. They were all famous actors, so they shouldn't have any problem staying into characters. In fact, I wasn't worried about that at all. I was worried about something going wrong during the party. After all, people were to talk about it for months.

Anyways, I was just anxious.

Nothing necessarily had to go wrong.
