Chapter eleven

Sarah's P.O.V.

I tried to run as fast as possible. Louis was following me like crazy. I was just leaving the school's gate and he was following me all the way from the classroom to the school's main gate. Niall was also following me shouting different food names hoping I'll stop after hearing them. I was just going to leave the gate when I heard Louis' out of breathe shout.

"Sarah. He's in hospital."

I stopped in my tracks instantly and turned around. I knew who was the person he was referring 'he' to. Zayn. Zayn's in hospital. It took time to sink in my brain. Why? What happened? When? I wanted to ask all these questiobs from Louis but my voice was struck in my throat and I starred at him with an expression of disbelief and disgust. Meanwhile, he came to the spot where I was.

"Follow." He said whispering.

I obeyed and he took me to the nearest bench. I fell on the bench with a great THUD sound and broke down into tears. Niall and Louis sat by my sides on the bench.

"Ssshh. It's okay Sarah. It's okay." Louis said hugging me. I sobbed in his shoulder.

"Why didn't you tell me before?" I asked him in between of my sobs.

"We didn't want to worry you. It was all a plan. Waliyha was also involved and we weren't meant to tell you till now. But we did." Louis explained.

I looked up in his bright blue eyes and he studied mine.

"Want me to take you there?" He whispered in a comforting tone. I nodded.

"Leggo." He said standing up.

I wiped off my tears with thr back of my hands, gathered up my bag and stood up.

"Yeah, leggo." I forced a smile.

Niall drove, I sat in the passenger seat and Louis, at the back. He stuck his head out of the window and shouted,

"I love carrots", earning disgusting glares from the people passing by. We arrived at the hospital in Louis' car and he tried a lot of stupid things to lighten the mood.

Every step towards his room increased my nervousness and fear. I stopped in front of his room and looked inside from the window. His left leg was in air and both, left leg and right arm were plastered. He was talking to someone sitting by his side. I turned my head and found a beautiful blonde-headed girl. They were talking and laughing but the weird thing was that they were holding hands.

"There's a visitor.We'll wait outside. Tell me the story." I turned around and told Louis who was patiently waiting.

"Okay." He shrugged.

We took seats on the uncomfortable plastic chairs outside his room and Niall started.

"The day you left him at the park, he tried to find you everywhere. But God knows where you were. He stayed in the park whole night waiting for you to return. But you didn't come. He started wandering in the streets crying and smoking and that's when a car hit him which was speeding fully. That's the story." He finished.

My jaw dropped and I got up instantly murmuring,

"It's my fault. I have to apologise."

I entered his room without bothering to knock and what I saw was enough to set my soul on fire. The blonde was leaning on his face and their lips were paired. They broke and Zayn's eyes flickered in my direction and the girl also looked at me following Zayn's eyes.

"How can you, Zayn? Its yucckk." Louis spoke up in an angry tone.

That's when I knew that Niall and Louis were also in the same room.

Tears threatened to fall from my eyes but I didn't want to be weak before Zayn. No, he can't see me like that. I shook my head and ran out of the room, out of the hospital.

Zayn's P.O.V.

I was telling Perrie about Sarah and how much I love her when she suddenly leaned onto me and started kissing me. I didn't kiss back but I tried to stop her with my left hand but she held onto it tightly. I heard the door open and close and then, no voice.

At last, when she left me, I saw three people standing by the door with surprised and angry expressions. Louis, Niall and....Sarah.

My heart skipped a beat. I focused on her beautiful face now with no bruises, no cuts. Her eyes were all glossy, her lips quivering and her body was shaking. She was in her school uniform till now.

"How can you, Zayn? It's yucckk." Louis scolded me angrily.

Sarah shook her head and ran out of the room. Niall followed her but came back shortly with a sad expression.

"She's gone. You lost her,mate."

Perrie chuckled.

"Oh so this was 'The Sarah' of your dreams. Now when she's gone, we can still be together, Zaynie." She said batting her eyelashes.

"Get the heck out of here. I don't wanna see you again." I shouted.

She made a disgusted expression and left the room.

"She came onto me. I didn't kiss her. I can't cheat Sarah. I love her." I said whispering but enough for Niall and Louis to hear.
