Day before Murder

"Dextrous, you have disappointed me. I have expected a minimum good strategy for the next document production" Delilah glares at Dextrous.

"Sir, I'm exceedingly sorry that I was unable to construct a document that wasn't able to satisfy you" Dextrous scoffed.

"Listen, this isn't a small issue. We have to get prepared with a plan with maximum profits and less investments. I don't want to ruin my company just because of a failure in a plan" he warns her.

"If that so, why don't you make a plan that's completely of your choice which will never fail, I guess?" Dextrous rolled her eye at Delilah.

Delilah was about to lose his temper.

"Are we forever competitors, Dextrous?" She was caught off guard by his question. She blinked her eyes just to analyse what he just said.

Are they really forever competitors?
Dextrous wills never matter in that company, no matter if she was the oldest employee over there.

"I think yes, yes Mr. Black. We are forever competitors. My decisions never matter to this company. Even if I give the most suitable proposal that includes risk control and the maximum chances of our shares gets into the market with very less company investment, you will never be satisfied Mr. Black, because the problem lies within yourself, not in me. You take my ideas, proposals, everything but in return you never appreciated me. I never got promotion, yet I never asked for. For so many years I devoted myself to this company and in return I got nothing Sir." She yelled at him and he lost his temper.

"Nobody shouts at me, Dextrous, you are fired!" He shouted back but Dextrous froze.

"What did you say?" She put her hands on her hip, frustrated.

"You heard me, you are fired." He lowered his voice and went to sit on his chair.

"I worked here since your business started. How can you just fire me?" She yelled again and slammed her hand on the meeting table.

"I'm your boss, and I hold the power to fire you in any circumstances when I know you're unworthy. Now I ask you to leave my office." He looks at Dextrous, and shouted "right now!"

Dextrous couldn't move from her place, she just couldn't walk away. She had her entire life working under Delilah Black's Business Corporation. She glared at him.

Mr. Black, you need to pay for this. No matter how much you are dear to me. I won't spare you so easily for this betrayal you did. I owe a half share of this Company but you are firing me.

"Fine!" She walked towards the exit door, opened the door without turning she said "Take care Mr. Black" the door was slammed hard.

"Even if you won't live long" Dextrous muttered under her breath.
