I kept running, even though I couldn't see. I am blind and my culprits were called rogues. All the stories are true. Werewolves exist. The rogues had kidnapped me, used me, beaten me and made me blind. I heard growling and froze from trying to run. There's no way it took them this soon to find me? I heard someone whisper something and then I felt hands on my arms and they were not gentle. "Who are you?" I swallowed hard. Not again, I will not be prisoner again. "Let me go!" I thrashed around. "Hey, quit fighting me! I won't hurt you!" The voice said. I started crying. "No! I won't be a prisoner again!" I heard someone suck in their breath before mumbling a curse word. I felt hands on my shoulders, but they were more gentle. "Sweetie, we aren't going to hold you prisoner, we actually want to help you." I calmed down at the second voice. Both were male voices, but the second male voice was kinder and softer. "My name is Rhiannon," I whispered out. I felt arms around my knees and lower back and next thing I knew, I was being picked up bridal style. "Where are you taking me?" I asked quietly. "To our Alpha." The first voice said. I nodded, understanding. The rogues had the decency to at least teach me about werewolves. "You know about werewolves, don't you?" I nodded my head again. It went silent after that. It felt like it took an hour to get to our destination. I heard a door open and I felt warm air caress my skin. It was mid-winter, that much I knew. I was only wearing rags of a dress from when I was kidnapped. I heard another door open and then a deafening growl. "Alpha?" The first voice said. "Put her down now!" I heard another growl come from the Alpha. But for some odd reason, it felt comforting. I was lowered to my feet gently. I bowed my head in submission, something I've learned to do because of the rogues. Another growl ripped through the air and next thing I knew, I was being crushed to someone's chest. I felt sparks fly through me and I made me gasp. "Oh shit..." I heard the first male's voice say. "Sir, we found her like this. She was running through the eastern part of our territory." The second male's voice said. I felt shaking and knew it was the Alpha. "S-sir..." I quietly said, not wanting to upset him anymore. "Don't ever call me that. You can call me Daniel, love." I only nodded, wondering why he called me love and why the hell I feel sparks. "Get her some warm clothes, Brian, and Kenneth, find out who did this," Daniel ordered. Both of them said yes sir and left the room. "Love, please look at me," Daniel asked nicely. I bit my lip and shook my head. I heard a sigh before a hand found its way to my chin and gently tilted my head up. I quickly closed my eyes, but that didn't stop him from seeing the scars. I heard him growl really loud, louder than I've ever heard. "Do you remember who did this to you?" I started to shake my head but then I remembered a name. "Before I tell you, can I ask a question?" I asked. I felt movement but didn't know where it was coming from. "Of course, you can my love," Daniel said after a minute. "I know about werewolves and Alpha's and packs, but why do I feel sparks when we touch and why does your voice soothe me even after just meeting?" I asked quietly. I heard Daniel suck in a breath before answering, "We are mates, love. I'll go into more detail about that later though." I only nodded. "My captors were rogues and I can only remember one name and that's Raine. He's the one that made me blind..." I whispered out the last part. I felt shaking again and my instincts kicked in and I backed away until I was far away so I wouldn't get hurt. I started to shake and cower but then I felt strong hands wrap around me and hold me close. "I will never hurt you, baby," Daniel whispered to me. I nodded and spoke up, "My name is Rhiannon, by the way." I couldn't tell what his facial expression was but when he spoke to me, I heard a smile in his voice. "That's beautiful."
It was an hour later and I was in warm clothes walking with Daniel. "Shit..." I felt myself being picked up and air rushing around before I was in a warm building. "Rhiannon, what did you say the name of that rogue was again?" I swallowed hard before responding with the rogue's name. "Can I come with you?" I heard a growl come from Daniel. "Absolutely not." I felt him back away, like he was about to leave, but I quickly grabbed his hand. "Please, I want answers from him." I heard a sigh before a grunt. "Fine, but you will stay by me at all times, do you understand?" I quickly nodded my head before grabbing his hand. He led me outside and towards where Raine was, I was assuming. We got there in 30 minutes I would say, and all I heard was ferocious growling. "There she is, our little play thing." I heard a familiar male voice say. I frowned and hid behind Daniel. "Do not address her as such!" Daniel boomed. I heard movement before I heard loud growling. "Alpha, I wish to apologize for not helping her sooner than I had wished." A female said. Oh, that was Felice. She was kind to me and so sweet. "What do you mean, Felice?" Another male said. "Are you saying you let her out?!" The familiar voice said. "Of course I did!" She snapped. "Alpha, if you wish to kill me, then do it. I no longer want anything to do with these rogues who had hurt your mate." Daniel growled a little before moving. "Mate?!" The familiar voice said. "Oh shit..." The other male voice said. I quickly grabbed at Daniel and turned him towards me. "Please don't kill Felice. She was kind to me and helped me when I couldn't help myself. She is a good warrior, I would know because I saw her fight the others before they blinded me," I pleaded. I heard Daniel sigh before growling. "Felice, is it?" Daniel asked. "Yes, Alpha?" Felice said respectfully. "You can join my pack, as long as you stay as Rhiannon's personal guard. Understood?" Felice gave him an affirmative before I felt her by my side. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it. "Felice, you traitor! You'll be killed for this!" Daniel laughed at their threats towards Felice. "Not before you die, that is. Kill them all," He ordered. I heard growls and screams before I was being escorted away. When we got to Daniels house I'm guessing, Felice took me to a chair and helped me sit down. "Felice?" I called out. "Yes, Luna?" I laughed at the title. I'm no Luna. I'm weak and broken. "Don't call me that, I don't deserve the title. Just call me Rhi." I felt her hand on mine before she gave it a squeeze. "What do you mean you don't deserve the title, Rhiannon?" Daniel asked me curiously. I swallowed. "I'm weak and broken. I was used and beaten and I don't deserve the title..." I heard a loud growl before I felt hands on my arms, gentle of course, but firm. He turned me towards him, I'm guessing and held me close. "No matter what, my love, you deserve everything." I only nodded, not believing a word. "You wanted to ask me a question, Rhi?" I smiled and turned towards where I thought she was before hugging her to me. "I've missed you." She laughed and hugged me back. "I've missed you too!" She laughed out. I heard a door open and close and then a growl. "Mine!" I jumped back at the loud voice and Daniel growled lowly. "Sorry, Alpha's," The voice said. "Rhiannon, this is my beta, Brian." I felt my hand be outstretched before a hand took mine and shook it. "Hello," I quietly said. I felt for Felice next to me, but couldn't find her. I frowned. Daniel chuckled before grabbing my hand. "Felice and Brian are currently making out." I heard a growl come from across the room. Daniel laughed aloud and I simply smiled. That means they are mates, I'm guessing. Oh. Mates. I know what that is. "Mates? As in soulmates, right?" Daniel squeezed my hand. "Exactly, my love." So that means my soulmate is an Alpha. Oh shit.
