The author's or hero's biography:-

In 2002, a boy named Pravin Kumar was born in an unnamed hospital located in a slum area. While he was neither poor nor rich, he had a brother named Akshay Kumar who acted as both a second father and mother to him. One incident illustrates this well: when Pravin was 7 and Akshay was 13, they walked to their tuition classes together. One day, Pravin disturbed a dog, despite Akshay’s warning not to. The dog barked loudly and charged at Pravin, but Akshay stepped in front of him and protected him from the dog. This was the first time Pravin realized how much Akshay cared for him and how brave he was in defending him. Pravin was indeed fortunate, having narrowly escaped many dangers. For instance, their house was located behind a transformer, which posed a significant risk, especially during the rainy season. One day, while it was sprinkling rain, Pravin parked his bicycle and headed towards the transformer near their house. Because of the rain, the transformer sparked with electricity, and Pravin’s adrenaline surged, making him rush inside. He narrowly escaped a potentially deadly electric shock. Had he been caught by the spark, the outcome could have been catastrophic.

In another incident at an exhibition, Pravin spotted his favorite toy and ran towards it and went missing. His parents and brother searched for him for over two hours, calling his name continuously. Eventually, they found him at a nearby police station. From Pravin’s perspective, he had initially searched for his parents but soon encountered a balloon seller. Pravin simply said, "I was lost." The kind balloon seller then took him to the nearest police station. If the balloon seller had had malicious intentions, Pravin could have been in a much worse situation, possibly ending up as a beggar at the railway station. Thankfully, Pravin was reunited with his parents and eventually got his favorite toy.

Pravin’s childhood was marked by trauma, largely due to his father’s alcoholism. His father’s condition led him to inflict daily torment on Pravin and his brother, forcing them to massage his legs for hours while he rambled incessantly. This suffering continued until Pravin was 12, when his father made several unsuccessful attempts to quit drinking through rehab and counseling. Although his father’s abuse diminished, his brother, now in college, began reflecting his own frustrations onto Pravin.

Pravin was not entirely innocent either; he often acted immaturely and engaged in wrongdoing. After a year, his brother began to understand Pravin’s perspective and the abuse ceased for a few months. However, in the 9th standard, Pravin’s academic performance was very bad. With his parents preoccupied with their own problems and his brother away at college, Pravin lacked guidance. He started skipping school for trivial reasons, such as avoiding the three English periods on Mondays. His English teacher, who was also the vice headmistress, noticed his behavior. Despite repeated warnings and uncompleted assignments, Pravin continued to evade his responsibilities. His teacher, known for her strictness, eventually called his parents to address the issue and offer advice.
