I read it out loud: "Dear Ms.Harrison, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Since you are a muggle-born Professor Dumbledore will come to your house on August 20th, 1991. The list of supplies will be at the bottom of this letter. The rest will be explained to you and your family when Professor Dumbledore arrives. Sincerely, the executive headmistress, Minerva McGonagall."
I looked up at mom and she was grinning widely. "Why are you grinning mom?" Dominick and I asked in unison. "Hogwarts!" She squealed. "Is there something your not telling Liv and me?" Dom asked. "My best friend went to Hogwarts. Honey, you're a witch." I gasped. What mom said couldn't possibly be true. "You mean Lily and Petunia were witches and you never told me?!" I said raising my voice slightly. "Well, sort of. Petunia isn't a witch, neither am I, but Lily was a witch. She got a letter when she turned 11 to go to Hogwarts. Petunia was furious and started to ignore her sister. I stayed friends with Lily in secret, while still being friends with Petunia. As we got older Lily married James as you know, and Petunia married Vernon. They had Dudley. Your father and I had you, and Lily and James had Harry. You know how they died. You just didn't know why they were so mean to Harry. Harry is a wizard. I'm sure of it." After mom said this everything clicked. Harry was able to do certain things when he turned 7. So was I. "B-but how?" I stuttered. "Maybe our ancestors. Your dad and I are muggles. So is Dominick. You must have a certain power that we don't," she said. "That's not fair!" Dominick whined. I laughed with mom. "What the bloody pencil is a muggle?!" Dom and I asked mom together. "It's a non-magical person." "Oh," was all I could muster. I smiled. I needed to learn all about the wizarding world! So I could be the best! I continued to eat my breakfast to quickly run upstairs. I changed into my outfit and went to brush my teeth. I don't have to go school shopping now, but I still have to help out Dominick and mom. This is going to be an adventure...
