Noah pov

I smiled at her a full blown one

She remembered my favourite cake.

She pulled out two spoons and gave one to me

"Will you eat it with me?" I asked surprised because she never does eat dessert

"Yes they say if you eat with someone it will give you more reason to release dopamine"

Even if I am not understanding anything it made me happy that she will.

I think that was her goal

I should really learn her words

I should ask Sam today

Maybe she will need my help in something I should be prepared

We ate, of course me more than her but nonetheless the smile never left my lips

"Didn't you win yesterday? because you have an increased levels of monoamine oxidase"

I smiled "if you are implying that I was sad because I didn't win then you are for the first time wrong because I ..."

Before I could take pride of my game her phone rang and my smile whipped of my face when she said his name "Cristiano ....ok I am coming thank you again"

With that she ended the call and looked at me

"We have to go" was all she said before she got up and headed to the car

I clenched my jaw and headed to the car and when I entered I slammed the door hard but like always she didn't say anything nor her blank expression changed

I couldn't take the silence that is opposite to the chaos in my head so I asked with bitterness dripping from my voice

"Weren't you with him this morning"

"Yes, he is helping me with my project he is the only one I trust"

Ouch

That hurt more than it should

Wasn't she the one who said a month ago when we first met that she doesn't trust anyone even her father

So what made him special

My heart was clenching as hard as my hand on the steering wheel

I maintained the hurt inside of me and drove towards a hospital that she gave me the address to without a single word

I didn't know if I was even breathing because it was also painful

We climbed out of the car heading towards a grinning Cristiano and a woman in a doctor coat

Please don't tell me he is a doctor

"Ms.Romano" the woman nodded her head at Cataleya and turned towards that asshole "Dr.Brown"

Fuck my life

"We can head to the patient now"

That stupid of a doctor nodded his head and told her to give us a minute and with that the woman went inside

"Ok Cataleya I will do the talking with the cancer patient to let her accept our proposal to take your medicine you don't have to worry" he said and put his hand on her shoulder

Oh how much I want to break it !!

Then he turned towards my glaring eyes and said "you could go for the rest of the day we don't need you now"

My glare intensify that it could kill him if it was possible

"And how do you know something won't happen?" I asked with venom filling my voice

"She is safe with me right Cataleya?" he said with a smirk like he knows things that I don't and looked at MY princess

That looked at me and said with her cold face "he is right I don't need you,I am safe with him"

I stepped without realising multiple step backwards and looked at her with hurt in my eyes but she didn't so anything I nodded my head and turned my back and walked to the car with heavy heart

There is only one place I could go in my state

The moment I saw it my knees hit the ground and my mask fell from my face letting the hurt sad voice walk out

"Why did you leave me?" I said to him feeling wetness filling my eyes

"Why did you leave everything on my shoulder"

One tear fell

"I'm tired, I can't take it anymore. when I think life is giving me a chance to walk towards happiness it turns out she was just mocking me"

I didn't brush the tears that was falling

"DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT I DESERVE LOVE AND HAPPINESS" I shouted at the tombstone of my father

The father that left me and made me grow up in a matter of minutes to take care of my mother and brother

"Well let me tell you dad, I don't have any of those two the only girl that I like turns out to be a rich genius girl that is currently with a man that is worthy of her and at least he have a stable career! He is a doctor!"

My heart was aching painfully and my tears were falling freely

"I'm tired of fighting" I said after some minutes

"Noah"

I turned to be surprised by my mother rolling on her wheelchair with my brother by her side

They came and stood beside me each one on a side

My brother put his hand in mine and I put my head in my mother lap

"It hurts"

I said making my brother grip my hand tighter and my mother to put her hand on my head

"Why can't we be happy" I said feeling wetness on my shoulder from my mother

"Why can't we be a normal family and I can be worthy of her"

I breathed while brushing my tears with my mother gown

"I like her a lot mom, even if she doesn't smile nor understand my jokes, even if she doesn't eat sweets nor talk a lot but I like her. But she is far away mom I don't deserve her, I don't have a car, I use hers. I am not even a professional boxer yet so I don't have a career and I can't help her with her project

She doesn't need me"

"You know brother from what you and mom told me about dad I could tell you that he wouldn't like that you aren't fighting for her and he would tell you if you are here
