Chapter 5: Moving On

The next day, Shizuka wakes up from her bed ready to go to school with her happy face and goes downstairs to find her mother. Her mother asked why she is happy right now and before she say anything, Dorami goes downstairs and said that their final test results is out today and Shizuka still with her happy face saying yes. Outside, Shizuka her happy face changes back to her regular sad face and hits the wall with her nervous face saying if she is actually going to pass the final test, as she kept on walking. Upon arriving the schoolyard, she noticed that her entire 5th grade classmates (including her friends) are all outside looking at their test results.

Gian Gouda: Uyy, Shizuka! The test results is here!

She walked closer to her friends and Gian continued:

Gian Gouda: I just passed my final test and I was really lucky, same thing for Suneo. I can't wait for middle school year.

Suneo Honekawa: Yeah, me too. Dekisugi easily passed this one out, we all know that for sure!

Hidetoshi Dekisugi: Oh, Shizuka. Your names is on the other side, because is the boys section. Come take a look and let us know your results.

Shizuka nodded and goes to the girls section of the final test results. As she looked through the list, she PASSED the final test, meaning she is also going to middle school next year, but she didn't jump with joy. She goes to Dekisugi and said she passed the test too, and he congratulates her. Suneo tells everyone that they're going to celebrate after school, but Shizuka decided to go celebrate alone and Dekisugi politely tells her.

Hidetoshi Dekisugi: I understand your pain, Shizuka that he is gone. I believe "Nobita is so proud of you right now".

Shizuka Minamoto: You really think so?

Hidetoshi Dekisugi: Yeah, hope you're recovering soon, plus we should all be positive that we graduate Elementary.

She nodded with agreement and one of the staffs tells everybody to go back inside of the classroom and everyone walks towards the front entrance. Back at the classroom, it was afternoon, Sensei then grabs his textbooks tightly and goes up saying:

Sensei: It's been a wonderful journey to have with you everyone. You guys are one of my best pupils this year and I'm proud all of you passed the final test. I wished the best of luck at middle school. I will miss you all so much.

(M) Music starts here

Sensei heard the final bell meaning class is officially over, everyone gets up of their seat and hugs Sensei one by one, making him really happy. Suneo and his friends are outside, waiting for Shizuka, she is still inside of the classroom cleaning. After finishing cleaning, she looked at Nobita's desk one more time. Her tears started falling and sits at Nobita's chair. She grabbed the photo frame and looked at it, then Sensei opened the door and Shizuka who is still on her desk.

Sensei: Shizuka, you're still here?

Shizuka Minamoto: Yes Sensei, it just that I do this everyday.

Sensei: You really do care about Nobita. Well, the truth is that I transferred Nobita's test results to yours by replacing it instead.

Shizuka Minamoto: Huh? But why?

Sensei: Your original test grade was a 68% and the only way for you to pass is that I transferred Nobita's test with a 94% so you can move on to Middle School, since he isn't no longer with us.

Shizuka thanked him really hard and hugs him. Sensei told her that Nobita is really happy at her right now and the camera zooms out back at Spirit Nobita looking at her happily and vanished. Her friends are still waiting for her and finally, she got out of the elementary school as her final step with the photo frame on her hand wrapped around her chest.

Suneo Honekawa: Shizuka, you're here. Ready to go?

She nodded and everyone started walking to Suneo's house for celebration. While walking, she looked at her school for one last time and smiled before turning her head back forward. At Suneo's house, Suneo's mother made a strawberry cake for everybody and everyone awed with joy. She grabbed the knife and sliced it into 4 pieces and give them one each, but Shizuka tells her to slice an extra one and she replied "ok". While celebrating, Dorami comes in and congratulates Shizuka and joins in at the party too. Shizuka then tells everyone that she will go outside for a bit and Dekisugi:

Hidetoshi Dekusigi: Oh, where are you going?

Dorami: I think it's, you know...

Hidetoshi Dekisugi: Oh, I see...

Unexpectedly, she goes on top of the roof using Take-copter and sits there looking at the stars. Few seconds later, Spirit Nobita appeared with his happy face and she saw him. Shizuka then tells her that she is now ready to move on without Nobita and he replied:

Spirit Nobita Nobi: I'm glad you said it, you don't have to rely on me that much. You can visit me in the graveyard bit often, not like all the time. Congratulations for graduating Elementary School, Shizuka.

Shizuka Minamoto: Thanks, Nobita. It's just that... is everything going to be alright without you?

Spirit Nobita Nobi: Of course it would. I'm sure of that, you just gotta live happy with your friends and your families. We don't like to see you being sad all the time and I promise you, I'll be watching over you to keep you away from harm.

Shizuka Minamoto: Nobita... thanks you very much, that's so nice of you. I was wondering, you know??

Spirit Nobita Nobi: What is it??

She started blushing and she quickly ....... him on the cheeks, but spirit Nobita didn't blush this time and smiles instead. Nobita's spirit body is starting to fade away starting from his toes and holds Shizuka's hands.

Spirit Nobita Nobi: Shizuka, this is my last day seeing you and I'm about to go back from above. I don't know when I'm going to be back, it could be many years or so. SO please hear me out, good luck at middle school next year and always never give up.

Her tears started to fall and Nobita's spirit body is about vanish in a second. He wiped her tears out and said his final words:

"Always be happy and I'll see you again in a few years"

After saying his last goodbye, he fades away slowly and turns into a sparkling yellow dust. The dust started floating and flies into the bright moonlight, as she watched up. Shizuka stands up on top of the roof and said:

Shizuka Minamoto: I promise! I promise! I'll never give up on studying! I will make you proud, Nobita. Even you disappear, I will make sure I'll make you happy! Thank you for everything, you means a lot to me. I will finally move on and continue on with my life, even when we're....

"Far Apart"

Then, Dorami came up on top of the roof and said:

Dorami: Shizuka, I want to give you something. This is "R Flower", I don't know what it does and it seems that it's just a decoration. You can have it, try it on.

Shizuka puts the R Flower on and it sticks on her hair. She was blessed and relief for wearing it and thanked her.

Dorami: Come on, let's go back inside. The party is just getting started.

Shizuka Minamoto: Ok, I'll be right there.

They laughed and went back inside to go back and celebrate their graduation party from Elementary. The scene now goes up into the moonlight and the scene crossfades to black to 1 year later.
