Kiyoko sniffed softly as she helped Daichi set up the net for practice. As Daichi shot her a worried glare, he furrowed his eyebrows and said "Are you crying?". Kiyoko lifted her glasses and turned her head towards the taller figure, a confused look on her face. The female shook her head, her red nose visibly dripping with mucus. "I have a cold that's all." She smiled and turned her head back, fixing the poles supporting the net. Daich sighed a soft "oh" before turning back and fixing the net.

The two stepped back and nodded before Kiyoko walked to the corner of the room to grab the volleyballs stored in a mesh bag, dragging them towards the middle of the floor. It was only 2:30, only a few minutes before school let out. Kiyoko sat on her knees, pulling the balls out one my one. She laid them all out next to each other proud of her work.

Throwing the bag into the corner, she sat up on the stage. She kicked her legs and looked around. Daichi came up and in one move, swiftly getting off his feet and onto the stage next to Kiyoko. "So, when are you gonna tell him?" Daichi was the only one that knew about Kiyokos crush on Tsukishima. Kiyoko turned her head slowly and stared down the squeaky floor of the gym "I-I don't know. I'm so confused right now, none of this seems real." She says wiping her nose. "He doesn't seem interested in me. Probably only dinosaurs, volleyball and yamaguchi." She says with a soft giggle, pulling her knees to her chest and laying her forehead on her knees. "He doesn't even talk to me" she says feeling her face warm up and warm tears fill up her eyes.
—
She felt a soft hand around her shoulder, pulling her in softly. "It's what happens Kiyoko." Daichi sand soothingly. He pat her head as she felt her figure start to shake under his touch. She turned her head into his shoulder and started bailing her eyes out. Daichi felt her sniffle against his shirt, rubbing circles on her back. "Shh, it's okay.. schools about to end and I bet Tanaka and Nishinoya wouldn't want to see you crying." He said turning his head down to face the top of her head. "Go clean up in the bathroom, okay?" She nodded in silence before wiping her tears with the sleeves of her sweater. She scooted towards the end of the stage and hoped off, dusting her sweats off. Daichi gave her a sincere smile before nodding.

Kiyoko strolled towards the bathroom, holding her arms across her chest and pulling the door knob. She walked towards the sink and let her face sink into her palms. She sighed softly and looked at her puffed up eyes. Looking down at the sink, she turned on the cold water and splashed her face with cold water, sniffling again. She heard the bell ring, and two voices. Familiar ones. Her heart started pounding and face turned red as she waited to see who it was.
