Elliot slowly begins to open his eyes, the room being a blur for a moment before his vision starts to focus. The room is beautifully maintained, walls freshly painted white, a single white door in front of the bed. To the right of the bed is a black cushioned loveseat, the small girl from early curled up on one under a red blanket. The bed Elliot lays in has a dark red comforter with black silk sheets under that along with the same red pillows. He climbs out of bed, being a bit dizzy but notices the large window to the left of the bed, looking out to the vast ocean.
"That's right... I blacked out," He thinks to himself, looking down to the floor. "What's wrong with me all of a sudden?" He shakes it off and goes to check on the small girl but soon notices he's now wearing a different attire, a pair of black silk pajamas. "The hell?" He nudges the small girl. She groans a bit but yawns cutely and sits up.
"Oh hey, you're alright!" She opens with, smiling.
"Yeah for the most part," He responds before sitting down on the end of the bed now. "So... who picked us up?"
"They said they're from Myst," She fills him in. "Um... so your name is Elliot, right?"
"Yeah that's right, I suppose we never did get time to do introductions,"
"I'm Annabelle,"
"That's a cute name. Sorry things got a bit rough there," He apologizes for ending them up in the ocean to which she shakes her head.
"No, you saved me from those vampires, I owe you! And um... well you're an angel aren't you?" Elliot is surprised by her question but he shakes his head.
"No, I'm not an angel. I don't really know what I am but I know for sure it's not an angel," He denies her claims, but really he doesn't know one way or the other.
"I see... hmm," She thinks aloud, Elliot not really sure how to respond.
"Where are you from?" He changes the topic.
"Well... I'm from the Myst continent," She tells him. "So really it was just a ship ride there and now I'm on the ride back,"
"Maybe it'll throw off your pursuers," Elliot says to give her some hope.
"I'm not entirely sure...,"
"Why are they after you in the first place? Aeris said she needed you for Colobus Drek,"
"I don't know why they're after me, honestly," Elliot crosses his arms.
"It's also odd that the first day I come back I run into her," He shakes his head. "I don't like it, I don't like coincidences like this," Elliot realizes he's sitting with a child then and tries to change the tone. "Man I'm not good with kids," He thinks to himself. "So um how old are you Annabelle?"
"Ten," She answers before a silence fills the room. "This is going to sound weird but... can I stay with you for awhile?"
"I was thinking someone in Myst might be able to help you find a home," She shakes her head quickly.
"No, absolutely not. Please?" She asks, frowning a bit. "I know it's a weird request...," Something resonates with Elliot that feels off to him, but something holds him back from asking any questions, instead he simply nods.
"Yeah, alright, I'll protect you," Elliot then stands from the bed once he feels he's fully conscious. "I'm going to see whoever is running this ship and figure out what's going on," She gives a nod as Elliot heads out of the room, stepping out into a hallway, a room to each the left and right and a stairwell going up. He heads up the stairs, not looking to invade on someone's room or disrupt staff if they aren't bed chambers. The stairs lead up deck, several soldiers manning their stations around the ship, steel devices that look like cannons lining the sides of the ship. However there appear to be slots for cylinders rather than a way to load ammunition, magic cannons. "This is definitely a Myst battleship," Elliot thinks to himself while looking around. None of the soldiers even pass a glance at him, completely fixated on their jobs, a rarity to see a team this dedicated. The ship also no sails, probably powered by some sort of magical device. Elliot is completely flabbergasted by the vessel, never seeing anything quite like it in his life. He notices a figure with their back to him standing at the helm of the ship, not dressed as a soldier. The figure is feminine looking, long blonde hair tied with a white ribbon. He begins towards her before he speaks up. "Excuse me, ma'am?" The figure turns and he steps back instantly. Standing before him is the very same girl he left behind mere hours ago. "Alecia?"
