Light in the Dark (Deltarune M!Kris x F!Monster!Reader)

"Who's there!?" Susie shouted. 

"Do not be alarmed, I am not your enemy," the voice boomed again, "Please come forward, all three of you".

Susie and Kris both walked forward, well I stood there, unable to move my legs. Kris however, noticed my absence, and walked back over to me, grabbed my hand and then walked back over to Susie. I could feel my face heat up just the slightest bit as he held my hand. He didn't even let go when we reached Susie, holding his hand was a comfort, I wouldn't complain about it. 

In front of us stood a hooded figure, the same voice from before came from them again, "Welcome. I am the prince of this kingdom. The kingdom of darkness. Kris, Susie, (Y/N)... there is a legend in this land. A legend that one day three heroes of light will arrive, and fulfill the ancient prophecy, foretold by time and space. Please, heroes, listen to my tale". 

They said that so dramatically, how could someone say no? Also, if I'm part of some kind of big important prophecy, it would be best to know what it's about.

Kris seemed to have the same idea, or he just liked stories, because he nodded his head.

"Very well then..." the hooded figure started.

"Once upon a time, a Legend was whispered among the shadows. It was a Legend of hope; It was a Legend of dreams. It was a Legend of light; It was a Legend of dark. This is the legend of Deltarune.

For millennia, Light, and Dark have lived in balance, bringing peace to the World. But, if this harmony were to shatter...

A terrible calamity would occur.

The sky would run black with terror, and the land would crack with fear. Then, her heart pounding... the Earth will draw her final breath. Only then, shining with hope... For heroes appear at Worlds' edge.

A Human, A Monster, A Princess from two worlds and a Prince from the dark. Only they can seal the fountains, and banish the Angel's Heaven. Only then will balance be restored, and the World saved from destruction. 

Today the Fountain of Darkness- the geyser that gives this land form- stands tall at the center of the kingdom. But recently another fountain has appeared on the horizon... and with it, the balance of Light and Dark begins to shift..." 

"Kris, Susie, (Y/N), thank you for listening to my long tale. You three have the Courage to Save the world. Delta Warriors! Won't you accept your destiny...?" the hooded figure asked. 

They said "Delta Warriors" so dramatically. I wasn't sure how to react, I'm not important, or part of something important! This I, I don't know, princess from two worlds? What did that mean? But saving the world is kinda, really important, and it's not like I could say no.

I looked over to Susie, she looked fairly bewildered. She turned to the right, and back towards the hooded figure. "Uggg... Nah" she said plainly.

Wait, did she just say no?!

I looked at her shocked, the hooded figure was also in the same state of confusion, and shock. "W-what?" they said, seemingly also very nervous, and confused.

"Me? Some kind of hero or something? You got the wrong person" she said with a gigantic smile, making me feel uneasy.

"B-but Susie! Without you the... The world will..." the hooded figure was cut off by Susie. "So what? If the world gets destroyed... It's none of my damn business. Besides... Might be kind of fun, honestly".
