like flames engulf the walls you once knew,
like poison plagues the body with it's sinful consequences,
you've tangled through my mind with ropes of despair,
leaving me longing for closure,
sudden hesitation keeps me from untangling my beguiled mind,
you've captivated me like a tornado in a storm,
yet you feel like the rainbow that comes thereafter,
you comfort me like a little plush blanket and a clean soft pillow,
my mind grows cold with you here,
yet i cannot feel safe with your absence,
i cling to you like a sloth to a branch,
if only it wasn't solely the idea
of you
