Jason sat at the dining table, Daya across from him eating breakfast, it was like 9:00am, "What we gonna do today Daya?" Daya chewed her cereal while she thought "mmmmm I dunno we can play ve Xbox?" Jason smiled "alright then we'll play the Xbox" Daya pumped her fist into the air in triumph "yeah let's pla-"
She was cut off by a knock at the door, Jason sighed and walked over opening the door slightly, there standing in all her glory was Cassandra Cain a duffle bag over her shoulder Jason stared for a minute " this is a pleasant surprise." Cass nodded "live here now" Jason thought for a moment "I mean we got a spare room...? It's next to Daya's room and accross from my room" Cass nodded "my room now"
Jason just shrugged in slight shock "so uh- your actually living in our apartment?" Cass faltered "unless you say no. Getting lonely by myself" Jason smiled and stepped to let Cass inside "we would love having you here, but you've gotta do your part, ok?" Cass responded eagerly with a yes and stepped inside next to Jason.
"AUNTIE CASS" Daya screamed happily, jumping at her legs and hugging them "princess!" Cass said joyfully, she beast down and hugged the girl tightly "watcha doin here aunie Cass" Cass smiled and booped her nose "live here now. Lonely" Daya squealed "YOU CAN PLAY XBOX WIV US!" Jason chuckled "we need to get her settled in first, she's got the room next to yours! How cool is that baby girl!" Daya jumped up and down before grabbing Cass' hand "lemme show you Ve room" Cass grinned and looked at Jason who smirked and nodded, grabbing cass' other hand "Daya can lead the way my dear sister, welcome to the Todd household"
Cass' smile got wider as she was pulled down a hallway, they stopped in front of a room and Jason let go over hand opening the door, "I'm sorry it's not huge like the manor but... yeah..." he shrugged and Cass hugged him "thanks big brother" Jason patted her head and turned back to the room, It was a mix of blacks, greys, whites and yellows, which made Cass smirk, perhaps it was meant to be. She chucked her duffle bag down and flopped onto the bed, Daya struggling up next to her "you like it aunie Cass?" Daya said cheerfully , Cass nodded "love it" Daya giggled and slid off the bed again, grabbing Jason's hand, "daddy can we goin play Xbox now pwease"
Jason shrugged and scooped her up "alright, Cass? You wanna join?" Cass nodded cheerily and followed the pair out of the room "black controller." She smirked and Jason shrugged in return "mines red, delilahs is green, your all good" Cass nodded "black mine now" Jason chuckled.
They played video games until lunch, then had a break to eat sandwiches that Jason made before continuing to play the games, Daya was suprisingly skilled for a 4 year old but still had trouble keeping up with the adults, who made the decision to go easy on her.
That night Cass had dinner with them and went back to bed, she was very happy here, she had her niece, her big brother and she wasn't lonely anymore, it was great! She is now a permanent resident in the Todd household.
