Long ago,the world was full of wonder.It was adventurous...exciting....and best of all...there was magic.And that magic helped all in need.But it wasn't easy to master.And so the world found a simpler way to get by.

"I call it the light bulb," A girl said.

"'Tis so easy!" The teenage monster laughed.

Ian puts on his dad's hoodie,Looks at the calendar to see his 16th birthday.

"Ian! Y/n is here!"

Y/n is Ian's childhood friends never left his side and is a elf and a mermaid she is an elf but she can turn into a mermaid.Anyways let's continue the story.Ian gets downstairs and y/n hugs him.

"Happy birthday!" Y/n said with a smile then pulled back.

Y/n and Ian had a crush on each other ever since 6th grade but don't know it yet.

"T-thanks," Ian blushed.

"Let me hear you say i'm a mighty warrior." The tv said.

Y/n and Ian looked what Laurel was doing and she was exercising.

"I'm a mighty warrior." She said.

"Morning mom!" Ian said.

Blazey jumps on Ian.

"Oh!" Y/n jumped.

"Blazey down!" Laurel said.

She grabbed a water spray.

"Bad dragon go to your dungeon."Laurel made the dragon go away by spraying water. "Happy birthday.Mr.Adult man."

"No mom!" Ian said.

Laurel kept putting kisses on him making y/n laugh. Ian wipes off the kisses.

"Hey Ian don't wipe off your mom's kisses," Y/n teased.

"Thank you y/n," Laurel smiled.

Y/n and Laurel realized he was wearing his dad's hoodie.

"What?" He questions.

"You're wearing your dad's sweatshirt," Laurel smiled.

"Oh. You know. Finally fits." Ian shrugged it off.

"Aw Mommy's little chubby cheeks is all grown up!" Y/n teased.

Laurel was gonna pinch his cheeks as y/n said that.

"Okay okay. Mom, I gotta eat something before we go to school." Ian said. "Want some y/n?"

"No i'm fine," Y/n said.

"Ah, we don't have much food."Laurel said. "I still have to go to the grocery store."

Ian was gonna grab these rolled up sausage wrapped in something.

"Ah hands off mister.Those are for your party tonight."She said.

"It's not a party mom. It's just us with y/n,"

Y/n was leaning on the counter.

"You could invite those kids from your science class.You said they seen pretty rockin'," Laurel suggests.

Y/n laughed.

"I'm uh pretty sure he didn't say it like that," Y/n said.

"And besides I don't know them and I got y/n!" Ian said.

"Well your birthday's a day when you try new things."Laurel said. "Be the new you." She turns on the blender. "Speaking or trying new things,did you sign up for driving practice?!" She yelled.
