My Dear Child

My dear child,
I'm sorry
I'm sorry you feel this pain
I'm sorry this happened to you
Why must the world be so cruel?
What's happening to you is heartbreaking
I wish you didn't have to go through it
Your eyes used to be so full of light
Now they're blank
They're dull
Because you're so broken
People aren't ready to see that grave with your name written on it
It's not time
Though it may seem like it's time
It's not
The stress
The pressure
The weight you carry on your shoulders
It's all unbearable
You carry other people's burdens too
Because you want them to be happy
You don't worry about yourself
You keep everything inside
You hide away from the world
And shut everyone out
Remember why you keep going on
Remember the one who you deeply care for
You really care for them because I've seen you cry over them
How their smile makes your day
How your heart races when you see them
How you are embarrassed to mess up or say something wrong in front of them
How you enjoy hearing them laugh at your jokes
They may not have been meant to be called yours
But they're here for you
Remember you're fighting for them and many others
They aren't ready to never hear your voice again, never see your smile, or hear your jokes
Those cuts on your arm will all go away just like this pain
It'll take a while to heal
Don't give them the pain you feel by having them see that grave
You may be rejected because of your physical appearance
All that matters is that you're loved for who you are on the inside
Your heart was broken because of someone who didn't see you for who you are on the inside
They only saw you for your outside appearance
Especially when who you are on the outside isn't who you are on the inside
Your feelings meant something, but your outside appearance meant something stronger
They just go with what society has told them
But that's fine
Not everyone is like you
You need to be you
That's all that matters
But this person you still hold deeply in your heart
You may regret letting these feelings grow
But no matter how hard you try, you can't prevent your heart from trying
No matter how hard you try hold everything inside
It may seem like you want to give up
But don't
Your name doesn't belong on a grave right now
It's not time
So please don't give up
