Shadow Master

Chapter #1

Master Shadow was his name. He was a ghost. He was always there but never there at the same time. He stayed hidden by the shadows hurt and betrayed by the world and his own flesh and blood he trusted nothing. He hated this world for what it had done to him.

Then one day the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his eyes on came into his territory. He could sense that she was near and that she was also ninja. Was she here to do the biding of my brothers? To kill me? To bring my head to them, so they could control all of father's power? After all they were the ones who murdered him. As the thoughts ran through my mind, I decided to see if she would follow me. I continued to follow her through the trees for a day or two. What I thought was strange was that she had yet to notice I was there. She should of been able to sense it by now. Maybe she wasn't here to do my brothers bidding. Maybe she wasn't from around here. She had no clan markings that I have seen before. She was so strange to me yet so intriguing. Who was she? Where did she come from? Why was she here? It raced through my mind as I watched her from afar. Finally I could not take it anymore I had to investigate. I had to know. I had to feed my hunger of questions.

I step out from the shadows and finally made myself known to this mysterious woman, that appealed to me far more than I knew. As he stood in the light of her campfire the woman jumped back in fear as she drew her blades.

"Who are you? What do want!?" She said in an fearful angry voice.

I smiled and said, "I am Shadow. The one who claims this territory. Why are you here? Who sent you?"

I slowly began to sit down near the fire as she continued to grip her blades out of fear. Finally she sat down and drank some water as she began to explain who she was and why she was here.

"My name is Mâ yù. I am here to find the ninja master of the shadows. I was promised to him by his father before he died. I am to be his wife and help him rule over all that is ninja. Unfortunately his father was murdered before he could tell his son or give me to him on his birthday. War began between the three brothers, a selfish war I think but a war nonetheless. To fulfill his father's dreams, wishes, and my destiny to be with the great and powerful ruler of all ninjas the Grand Master, I have been searching for years, but I still haven't found him."

I took a minute to let it all sink in for I knew nothing of my father's plans. This was the first time I had ever found out of this. I didn't want to seem shocked or show any emotion as to give myself away. She clearly did not know who I was at all. I thought it would be better to keep it to myself for now. I still didn't know who she was sent by or if all this was true, so instead I offered my assistance.

"I can help you on your journey. I know these jungles better than anybody. That and it seems like you need it. I've been following you for about three days now, and you hadn't even noticed I was there. That settles it. We leave first thing day break and began are journey." After all there was just something about her that was different. I need to get to know her better.
