Rough times

I was in the hospital waiting room crying silently. Hailey, Jake, Sean and Milly were there to. I have no clue what happened. All I know is, Luke screamed, and I looked up and saw drew, Liam and Henry laughing, and I called the hospital. I haven't felt so defeated in my whole life. I waited a hour or two before a doctor came and broke the news. "Okay, so there was around 530 pounds worth of metal dropped on Luke, do you know anything of how this happened?" I stood there in shock and I told her that I saw Liam, Henry and drew up on the cliff above us laughing.

The nurse said I could go in first to see him. I walked in the room and saw him laying on the bed completely passed out. I hugged him lightly and whispered in his ear "I'm going to miss you.. I hope you wake up soon.." I started crying again then suddenly I felt his hand grab mine, and he smiled "Luke??" No response. I walked out of the room and everyone else visited him.

School was really rough. I didn't think about anything else besides Luke and how much I miss him. I ignored it all I just cried. I didn't feel like leaving the house.
Hailey would try and get me to go out with her but I always declined.
I couldn't be without Luke.
I just had to wait until he woke up.. hopefully..
Hailey told me that taking walks could clear my mind, she offered to go with me but I refused. My feelings only built up, making them stronger. I needed someone to talk to.. I would talk to Hailey but I don't even know if she has the time or if I could trust her.

This afternoon I left the house around 5:00 pm. About a hour after school ended.
I saw a girl with light pink hair sitting against a concrete wall with a notebook and headphones in. I was kind of tired so sat down by her and just thought about everything. She tapped me on the shoulder and asked "is everything okay?"
"No.. not really.." I replied. "Well whats wrong?"
I asked her if she would tell anyone.. she said "no, even if I did, what use would I get out of it?" "Also, my name is Sugar."

Here's the convo:
Zander: there is this boy named Luke. I've liked him since we were young kids, and now we are best friends.. I have no clue how to tell him.
Sugar: Well, why don't you tell him?
Zander: i don't wanna ruin our friendship.
Sugar: well. It isn't good to hold your feelings in and not say anything.
Zander: I know.. I just don't want to risk that he doesn't feel the same.
Sugar: I suggest you confess by a note if your that afraid.
Zander: yeah..I'll do that when I'm ready.
Sugar: Well you have to before its too late.
Zander: but the thing is.. he is in the hospital.
Sugar: What?! WHY??
Zander: well, we went hiking and I just heard him scream. And I looked up and saw Drew, Henry and Liam laughing. I called the hospital and they brought him there and
Told me more than 500 pounds worth of weight dropped onto his head..
Sugar: wait.. you looked up and saw drew, Henry and Liam la-
Sugar: They are the ones who put him in the hospital..
Zander: WAIT- why did i not think about that!? What do we do?
Sugar: They almost killed someone thinking they would get away with it.
Zander: *stares into the stars with a empty look*
Sugar: *gets text* I have to head home now.. see you tomorrow I guess?
Zander: sure. We can talk about this further
(Sugar gave Zander a hug before leaving)
(Btw they're only friends)

She gave me a small sheet of paper with her phone number, so we could meet up anytime I wanted to.
I thought about everything and it kept me awake.
I eventually fell to sleep.

I avoided mostly everyone.
I still talked to sugar on the daily.
It was about 2 weeks of Luke being in the hospital until I got a phone call.

After I heard what the other person said on the line, I started crying.
