Chapter 2

-3 weeks earlier-

Mikey's POV

I woke up to a horrible headache. I was up really late filming my new video. YouTube really messes with my sleep. I got up from my desk chair to stretch. Then I sat back down to watch other videos. There was one in particular that caught my eye.

Adeline Holtti... hmmm. I didn't know Alex had a sister. I clicked on her user and started a video.

"Wow." I said once her face popped up on the screen. Shes beautiful. Her dark blonde hair, beautiful brown eyes, and dimples fit perfectly with her appearance. In the video she was doing a collab with Matthew Espinosa. I've met Matthew a couple times but we haven't really talked.

I continued to scroll through her videos, watching every one until I came across a familiar face.

Luke? I didn't know he knew her. How did I not notice the incredibly beautiful girl featured in my best friends video? I took the link in her description to her Twitter. Her bio says shes located in California and I'm stuck here in New Jersey. There's no way ill ever get the chance to get to know her.

~Back to now~ (still Mikey's POV)

I heard my sister thumping down the stairs. "He's still asleep!" she yelled. I quickly jumped up and looked at my alarm clock. It is currently 7:54. School starts at 8:05. I ran into the bathroom and fixed my hair. Good thing I showered last night. I pulled on my khaki skinny jeans and a random shirt from my closet. I grabbed my vans and my backpack and quickly ran downstairs and out the door. "I'm here I'm here" I said as I got into my moms car. Yes my mom still drives me to school.

We arrived at the school and it was 8:03. My class is down the entrance hall so I had to hurry before it was crowded with grumpy teenagers. I exited the car and ran to the entrance hall. I felt something bump into me and crash on the ground. I looked down and saw a girl. I could only see her dark blonde hair but it looked familiar. "Hey are you okay?" I asked offering a hand. She looked up and her eyes met mine.Its her. Its Adeline Holtti. The girl that caught my eye the moment I saw her.

"Yeah I'm fine, sorry." she said referring to the collision. She took my hand and stood up, grabbing the schedule that was now on the floor. "Its not your fault I should've been paying attention." I replied and smiled trying not to notice the hundred people staring at us. She smiled and put a strand of hair behind her ear. "Im Adeline." she smiled and stuck out her hand. "I'm Mikey." I replied taking her hand and smiling back. We shook hands and she looked at her schedule. "Are you new?" Did I seriously just ask that? Of course shes new Mikey!

"Yeah actually I am." She replied. "Whats your first class?" I asked. She didn't really respond, all she did was hand me her schedule. I saw that we have the same first period. "we have the same first period. I could walk you there if you'd like?" I said. The bell rang and she nodded. "This is going o sound crazy but you seem very familiar." she said while we walked. "What was your full name again?" she asked. "Mikey Murphy." I replied. "Oh! That's why you seem so familiar! I've seen a couple of your videos." she smiled. "Really? Im actually a fan of yours too." I smiled back. We arrived at the classroom and sat next to each other. Maybe this year wont be as bad as the last.
