Prince(ss) fiasco

Big Celebration

"Lord Choi, I'm so happy to see you my old friend!"

The King greeted his childhood friend

"Congratulations on your daughter's graduation I'm so happy to see her grow into a intelligent and beautiful young lady"

"Thank you my lord, I'm also delighted to see you accept our invitation despite your hectic schedule"

The King glances at Lady Choi and then at his son

"Heh I also brought my son, he is a bit of a trouble maker"

The King smiles while dragging his son

"I'm delighted to see you Lord Choi"

Jum-il says with a half smile

"Oh my dear Jum-il! How you have grown! You know my eldest daughter has been dying to meet after having heard many great things about you!"

"Oh really?"

The prince spews receiving a tug from his father

"Um, m-me to I have heard a lot of wonderful things from my father a-and would love to meet her"

He says while trying to seem as interested as possible, Lord Choi grins with satisfaction and Jum-il feels a heavy weight lifted off his shoulders

"Please this way"

Lord Choi leads the two royals to a big table full of drunk nobles eating their heart out

"Hae-Won!"

A beautiful and delicate face pops from the room next door

"Come here, this is the King and his son, the one I've been telling you many great things about"

The young girl politely bows

"Nice to meet you, I'm so happy to see you"

She has delicate features big eyes, plump lips, a small nose and round cheeks. She was wearing a beautiful and vibrant purple and cream hanbok with her hair in a low bun with some sparkly hair pieces in the shape of flowers

"Please sit"

He seated the King, his son and Lady Choi at a separate table not too far from the drunk sea of nobles. He sat next to his wife and instructed his daughter to sit across Jum-il

"Please have some soju"

Lord Choi said and his daughter immediately filled the to nobles cups with soju

"Thank you young lady"

She sat down across from Jum-il, then a few dancers with vibrant pink and purple clothes and fans started dancing a beautiful synchronized fan dance, all the guests were astounded by the dancers movings like clear sparkling water off a waterfall. Jum-il on the other hand wasn't enjoying it at all he was waiting for the moment all of this would be over and he would go back to his home

"Heh you know Jum-il my daughter would make a very fine wife'

Lord Choi said drunkenly making his daughter blush

"*Hick* Maybe you two should go take a walk get to know each other a little more"

He says as he pushes them outside. They look at each other for a second, then Lady Choi looks down and starts walking Jum-il sluggishly following her

"It is a beautiful full moon, isn't it my Lord?"

Lady Choi brought up to breack the awkward silence

"Ah, yes it sure is..."

Silence fell once again between the two young nobles as they walked towards a lake nearby

"So, um I heard from my father that- um your father and he is planning for us to get married and I-"

Just as lady Choi turned to face the young prince he interrupted her

"Listen, I-I'm not ready to get married, I want to live my life and you're a very pretty girl but-I just don't- I don't feel anything I hope you understand"

He looked at her with a pitiful look

"I know my father and he will keep suggesting be girls to get married to but- I'm just not interested"

He finally looked lady Choi in her eyes, they were filled with tears

"B-but my father, he-he told me that I will finally get married and not be a burden anymore, to my family"

She saiemd between sobs hiding her face in her jang-ot, before Jum-il could try and comfort her she was gone

"*Sigh* another one gone"

Jum-il didn't feel bad anymore, he was used to it and he hopes one day both him and lady Choi find 'the one', but it certainly wasn't him. He walked closer to the lake bending down to touch it.

"When will I find the 'one'?"

He looked up at the sky and made a wish, he didn't really know what he wished for but when he opened his eyes he saw something glowing from the lake. He fell back from the shock and as he tried to escape he felt as he was being sucked in by the glowing light.
