Chapter 9:Jorja Smith
Omniscient"David?"
"Yeah ma. You okay?" He reached for her wrist and this time she allowed him to touch her. David examined her arm and saw nothing but he was sure a bruise would form.
"Yeah I'm okay."
"You sure?"
"Yes I'm sure." She gave him a small but reassuring smile. He let his eyes roam over her for a few seconds before he nodded his head.
"Come on let's get you some water." He held his hand out for her which she greatly grabbed. He lead them to the bar and order two waters.
"Bitch where'd you go!? I turn around for one second and your ass is gone!" Mariana said running up to her and David.
"Well if your ass was with her she wouldn't have disappeared." David scoffed before he turned around to get the water bottles.
"And who the fuck are you?" Mariana didn't like the way he was in their conversation. Almost immediately she recognized him from the hospital.
"Oh your that man from the hospital. So, are you going to tell me what happened?"
"This man was in here dragging her around like an fucking rag doll." David didn't condone putting hands on women at all.
"Who!?" Mariana definitely wasn't going to try and fight the man herself but she wasn't going to get people to handle it.
"Don't worry about it. I got it handled." He handed her a water and watched intently as she gulped it down.
"I'm going to get the rest of the group them we can leave okay?" Mariana said to Jorja who then nodded her head as an okay. "Stay here and don't move." Mariana walked away to find the others. Jorja started to warm up making her fan herself with her hand.
"Can we go outside? It's too hot in here." Jorja said as she downed the other bottle.
"Yeah come on." David made sure to grab two more waters before they started for the door. Before they could even step foot out of the club shots rang off. All that could be heard were people screaming and the screech of tires. David picked Jorja up and slung her over his shoulders and made a beeline for the car.
Once they made it, he made she was in safely before he got in himself. He scurried off of the property. Before he could ask if she was okay his phone rung.
"Hello?"
"You good nigga?" Tory asked from the other end seeming out of breath.
"Yeah. Y'all good?"
"Yeah were about to go back to the hotel. I'll hit you later."
"Alright." Hanging up the phone and took a quick glance toward Jorja, seeing tears streaming down her face.
