Potions class

I've made a couple friends in my commons room but no best friends, unfortunately. I'm hoping that in potions class I can at least make a good friend or good rapport with the teacher, I've heard he's a bit unlikable.
We file into class to see a seating chart at the front of the room. I've been put directly in the front row, fuck. Now I really have to make a good impression, I'm sure I'm going to be called on a lot. I take my seat and see that my potions partner is someone by the name of Draco Malfoy... I swear that name seems familiar. Just as the bell rings the rude boy from the dining hall sits next to me.
You've got to be kidding me.
He chuckles to himself as he takes out his books. I mean who does this boy think he is. Honestly I wish he wasn't such an asshole, he's kind of cute. But I allow that thought to fade away as our professor makes his way to the front of the class.
" My name is professor Snape. I'm sure I won't like many of you but that's beside the point. I'm going to go grab some materials for today's class, and if I hear a single noise escaping this room... 10 points will be taken from your house."
As Snape exits, the room erupts in discussion. I really don't want to talk to this Malfoy boy but it doesn't seem that I have a choice. I turn to face him and he's already staring at me...okay...kinda strange.
"I'm Y/N, Y/L/N. You are?",I ask politely.
"Draco Malfoy. I'm sure you've heard the name before my family is a bit of a legacy at this school."
"Yeah no, never heard of them.", I say trying not to laugh.
" Of course you haven't. You seemed dull on the first day and you continue to hold up that reputation. I suggest you don't try anything with me unless you want consequences.", Malfoy snickers.
I roll my eyes and open my book as Snape returns. As the bell rings signaling the end of the period, I try to quickly escape the class. I really don't need to be dealing with that stupid Malfoy anymore. But I guess he has other ideas as he trips me on the way out. He walks away laughing as I sit on the ground collecting my things. What the hell is his problem?
