Warning: This chapter contains a lot of cursing.

-----------------------------------------------------

Dahyun's pillows were thick and hard and it's definitely not comfortable. I told her that I would just place the pillows in the middle so it can act as a border since I move a lot when I sleep. She, however, is the opposite, she sleeps like a dead person! Like she won't move, she's so still. Unlike her who was already asleep, I seriously couldn't. Dahyun slept like 30mins ago and I'm still wide awake. The loud rain isn't helping at all too.

Another minutes passed and my efforts of trying to sleep were seriously put into waste. I heard a weird sound coming from outside. I panicked so I sprang out of bed with a jolt and sat instead. I paused for a second trying to think if I really heard something or maybe I was just hearing things. I look at the surrounding, it's dark but it's not pitch black.

crrrrcck!

A moment later the creepy sound came back and that's when I covered myself with a blanket. Oh shit what the fuck was that?

It sounds like a bug? Or an animal. It might be a demon if I were to exaggerate it. Oh stupid you, Nayeon. You really love to overreact. But no joke, I was shaking inside the blanket. I was thinking about waking Dahyun up, but with her soft snore, she seems like in a deep sleep. I chose not to disturb her instead, so I closed my eyes to force myself to sleep. I tried to divert my attention to my cute memories in order to sleep but a moment later the sound came back again. Oh shit. Nevermind, I'm gonna wake her up.

Dahyun's back is facing me so I reached out my hand to poke her back. "Dahyun...Dahyun..." I whispered but she wouldn't respond. I did the same thing again and she moaned in response.

Crrrrckk! Crrcckk! The sound came back again but this time it went on for 4 seconds so I panicked again.

"Dahyun..." I faked a cry but I seriously couldn't contain myself and was about to do it literally. What the fuck is that? It's really creeping me out. Instead of poking her, I was tapping her back lightly this time. I did it multiple times so she woke up after that.

"Mhmm? What is it?" Her voice was raspy but cute. She turned her back to face me and she had this annoyed but concerned look. My hands were shaking and she noticed that so she sat and asked me again, but this time she looks like she really just snapped out of bed. "What happened?"

"I heard something" I shuddered.

She reached her hand and was about to touch me but she withdraw it right away before she even could. "What is it? Why are you crying?"

"Shh, no, listen" I paused. We both stayed silent for a long time, waiting for the sound to come back. Just like her, I sat instead. We waited again but there's no sound now.

"Maybe you're just-"

Crrrrcck!

I scooted beside her! "See! That's what I meant!"

She subtly pushed me because I was too close to the point that I went beyond the pillow border. She pointed me and laughed after. What's so funny?

"I thought it was something serious."

"What do you mean? What was that?"

"It's just a frog"

"Frog?"

"Yes. Just frogs croaking. They do that weird sound when it rains"

"Really?"

"Yeah seriously. They do that when they mate, I guess? That's what Sana told me" she assured.
