SPIDER, SPIDER
Dedicated to Miss Muffet
Spider, spider, how do you dare
To suddenly land upon my hair
When I am sound asleep in bed
Without the sheets covering my head?
While you do your furtive creeping
You seem to sense just when I'm sleeping
And when I wake and see you there
I shudder with fear from such a scare.
Please, oh please, have mercy on me.
I won't harm you. I promise. I plea.

Australia in 1988.
SPIDER, SPIDER : PART 2
Spider, spider, you were so mean
To bite poor John and not be seen.
You slowly crept into his boot.
He forgot to shake it, " Oh shoot! "
A little later he felt pain
Like a bad headache, a migraine.
He realized then that he blundered.
The pain grew worse, his head thundered.
Off he went to the hospital
Since spider bites can be lethal.
He has at last learned his lesson :
To avoid a red back's venom
