"Go? Go where?" Miyeon asked as she followed Yuta and Mark down the halls. They were twisting and turning, heading towards corners Miyeon had never seen before. All she knew was that she was going down, underground.
They stopped in what seemed like a cellar, but one of the wine shelves were slid over to reveal an open iron door. On the other side, Miyeon could see a horse drawn carriage along with five other horses.
The King and Queen were waiting there, along with servants helping Taeil, Haechan, and Jungwoo adjusted their gear and their horses'. One of the servants passed Mark a large sword, a blue jewel at the centre of the handle.
"What is going on?" Miyeon asked, looking at the people around her.
Her mother gave her a gentle smile as she stepped forward, a deep purple cloak in her hand. Miyeon's eyes were glued to the purple jewel on top of the fastener. The Queen wrapped it around her daughter's shoulders, putting it on for her.
"There's a lot we have to explain, but not enough time." The Queen said once she finished, taking a step back.
"All you need to know is that it's not safe for you here in Arlea anymore." The King told her, once his wife took his side again. "There is a big threat coming our way, so these people will be bringing you two to Davern."
The King motioned to the people getting ready, Yuta now joining them. They gave Miyeon as small smile as she turned towards them.
"Us two?" Miyeon said, once she realized what her parents had said. She glanced at Mark, who didn't seemed fazed one bit.
"Yes, they will explain while you're on your journey. It will be a long one but supplies have been packed." The Queen explained just as a servant came running down the stairs.
"Your majesty, the guards can't hold them back any longer." The servant informed the King and he nodded his head.
The two rulers of Arlea took turns giving their children big hugs.
"Miyeon, I'm sorry that you have to spend your birthday like this but please remember that I love you, both of us do." Her mother whispered into her ear as their father patted Mark's back.
"You're not coming with us?" Miyeon asked as her mother stepped back. She shook her head.
"The King always goes down with the castle and your mother has chosen to stay as well." Her father told the two.
"Your guardians have been training all their lives for this and Taeil and Jungwoo will be accompanying both of you as well." The Queen added.
Soon a loud crash from above surprised them all.
"It's time to go." Yuta said, Haechan and Jungwoo already on their horses while Taeil was guiding the two horses drawing the carriage.
The King helped Miyeon into the carriage while Mark got onto his own horse.
