Sunlight.
It was impossible to know where they were. Only that he had fallen asleep bathed in pale moonlight and had been awakened by the harsh rays of the sun. Struggled beneath the sudden influx of warmth and wondered why his body felt so incredibly heavy.
Until he realized that there was arm wrapped about his waist and something solid pressed against his back and memories of the previous night began to form in their proper order.
There was precisely one bed. Not a shocking piece of knowledge considering the entire space consisted of exactly two rooms. Which meant they were going to have to share, a prospect that should have upset him far more than it did. But the nights were cold, still holding onto winters chill - and with the recent fall of so much rain, howling wind blowing in from the surrounding water, it made it almost unbearable. Especially considering there was one blanket and no matter how thick it may have been, it did little to fight away what seeped in through the poorly constructed walls.
And now there was heat, flushing against his body and he realized that it had little to do with the ambient temperature and everything to do with the gorgeous man who was currently pressed against him. Full body seemingly form fitted against his own, until there was no longer a space where they didn't connect. It made something inside of him twist, like a knot slowly being tied within the pit of his stomach. A heavy construct which would stay with him long after this moment had passed.
There was something pressing against his thigh - something hard and thick and it would be a lie to say it didn't make what was between his own legs clench. A natural reaction that he barely had any control over.
Especially when there were suddenly lips being pressed against the shell of his ear, whispered words sinking into his mind as those hips actually ground down against his own, a singular action that he would recall for the rest of his days.
"Good morning, beautiful."
What a good morning indeed.
...
"How long are we going to be here?" It was understandable that he couldn't know where they were, despite the way his own curiosity was starting to eat away at him, causing a pool of backlogged questions to well up inside his own brain.
"Until tomorrow night." A groan slipped out of him unbidden, the sound so loud it played off the thin walls, echoing around the tiny space they were currently trapped in.
"But there's nothing to do." He was entirely aware that it was a whine. That it was likely going to get him nowhere extremely quickly. That truly he had absolutely no grounds to stand upon. Yet the sound released before he could stop it, despite the way he instantly regretted it.
"You think I want to be here? Trapped in the middle of fucking nowhere with not even a bar of cell service? Guess what? I don't. But I am. Because this is what happens when things don't go as planned. And you know why things didn't go as planned?"
"Because of me." Because his sense of self preservation had apparently chosen that very moment to finally kick in.
"Because of you. So now I have to wait for someone to bring me another car. And until that happens, you and I are stuck living like fools who decided to move to the Alaskan bush."
"How do you even know that?"
"Look, first of all, don't judge me. Second of all, there's a lot of down time with this shit, okay? Sometimes when there's nothing else on I'll set my Netflix region to America and I can feel you judging me and it really needs to stop."
"Honestly I'm just impressed you can speak English."
"Oh baby, I can do many impressive things."
