"What do you mean only I got into the school?!" A young dragon yelled at her parents.

"Sea, I know you don't want to go without your siblings but your application was the only one that was accepted." Seamud's mother, Seal, told her. "But I don't want to - I can't go!" Seamud argued with her parents. Only her application was accepted? She surely wasn't any smarter than her siblings!

"You can, and you will." Seamud's father Alligator said sternly. It wasn't common for Mudwing parents to stick around after dragonets turn six, but in the case of Alligator having a Seawing spouse he adapted to 'sticking-around-to-see-your-dragonet-grow-up.'

"But, but what about Cricket and Terra and Marsh and Croc and Mud?" Seamud asked pacing, on the verge of tears.

"We will take care of them." Said Seal reasurringly.

"BUT I'M THEIR BIGWINGS!" Seamud yelled once more, thrashing her tail left and right. "And we are your parents." Seal replied.

"Parents don't send their dragonets to the Rainforest Kingdom alone." Seamud snapped at them.

"You are going to the Academy and thats final. Now go to the cave and pack up!" Her father yelled, his tolerance running out.

"Ughhh!" Seamud groaned. She rushed out of the kitchen. She ran into her room and slammed the makeshift door. The dragonet grabbed two bags and started packing everything she owned. Which wasnt a lot. She grabbed her favorite scrolls and rock collection, her cool jewelry collection and anything else she could find.

"Couldn't even give me a weeks notice to emotionally prepare or anything." Seamud grumbled under her breath.

After packing she put the bags in the one corner of the room and layed in her bed. Sleeping was sort of a coping mechanism for her. Well that and eating.

Seamud and her siblings actually had two beds. One was a pond in the center of the room, seaweed growing up from the bottom. The second one, which the dragonet curretly lay on, was made up of long grass weaved together, a mixture of mud and clay slathered in between the layers (of the woven bed), and on top of the bed.

Seamud was troubled, she was going to miss this. She was going to miss the "Sibling Cave" and the beds. She was going to miss her sisters, brothers, parents, the entire Mud Kingdom in general. Seamud kept over thinking everything to the point where all she could do was cry.

Strange enough as it was, it was comforting to just be alone and cry. So much so the she technically cried herself to sleep.

"Seamud? Can I come in?" Seamud woke up when a voice materialized outside the door. It was her smallest sister Cricket.

"No." Seamud mumbled she shifted in the bed. "Please?" Cricket asked again.

"Leave me alone." Seamud mumbled again.

Although the bigger dragonet clearly protested against Cricket going in the cave, it was her room too. So Cricket walked in and went up to Seamud, curling up to the bigger dragon's side.

The dragonet looked down at her sister, sighed and put one arm over her and slipped back into sleep.

Seamud fell asleep with one sibling and woke up with all of her siblings. She still had an arm wrapped around Cricket, but the twins, Mud and Marsh, lay with half of their bodies on top of her. Terra, the third biggest and the most similar to Seamud, was curled up with Cricket. Croc (short for Crocodile, but he insists 'Croc' is cooler) lay on the other side of Seamud.

The crossbreed blinked slowly, her eyes shifting from the door to a very awake Croc staring at her.

"So, only you got accepted?" Croc, whispered to her. She nodded as much she could without waking anyone else up.

"So, they're taking our Bigwings, huh?"

"Croc, when I'm gone your going to be the Bigwings." Seamud said out of the blue.

Croc's eyes widened slightly. Seamud never had a heart to heart conversation, or any conversation really, with her brother. He was always so sarcastic, and a bit mean. He was the last dragon someone would trust to take care of four dragonets.

"Sea, I don't think I-" Croc started, but Seamed interupted. "Trust yourself Crocodile. I know that you think your not suited for this job, but you are. You may be mean and a jerk seventy percent of the time," Croc rolled his eyes, "but I know you have a good heart, somewhere in there. Take care of everyone, okay?" Seamud smiled warmly at her brother, he smiled back at her. Seamud trusted this, she knows that when it comes down to it, Croc will be a great Bigwings.

"Well, these guys are starting to crush me." Seamud laughed. She lifted herself up knocking Marsh and Mud off her

"Augh!" Marsh yelled as he fell on top of Croc. "What is wrong with you?!" Croc growled at his smaller brother. "Hey." Seamud said getting between Croc and Marsh. "Chill." Seamud told Croc.

The dark brown and green dragonet glared at Marsh for little longer and looked away, his facial features softening ever so slightly.

'Maybe, Terra would have been better at being a Bigwings.' Seamud shook her head after thinking this, she made her choice.

"Mom and dad told us that you would be leaving at the end of the day tomorrow." Terra told her bigger sister, sleepily. "And?" Seamud said turning around to face Terra.

"So that means that we can hang out all day tomorrow!" Cricket said bouncing with joy.

"Okay, tomorrow we will hang out all day." Seamud declared. "Let's eat dinner first."

Seamud was abruptly awoken by all five of her sibling jumping on her.

"Come on, come one! Let's go!" Cricket beamed, grabbing one of Seamud's wings and tugging on it.

"Okay, okay! I'm up." Seamud yawned.

"I'll beat you to the springs!" Cricket yelled.

The little bronze and navy gray colored dragonet sprinted out the door.

The twins and Terra dashed out of the door, trailing behind their smallest sister.

Seamud smiled, she turned around and found Croc smiling too.

"Croc, you coming?" Seamud asked him.

He stared at the door his siblings exited through and smiled longer before he looked at Seamud and nodded.

Him and Seamud raced with each other down to the springs, laughing wildly.

The dragonet made the right choice.

Author's Note: Ahhh! Yes I'm not dead! It's been like two years but I finally updated. I know it's not an update and more of a edit but I really didn't like the way the book was. I think some of you might notice some differences. Especially giving Croc some character development. Ahhh I'm so excited for you guys to read this. I know I kinda of failed all of when I just dropped out of Wattpad so let me make it up to you guys.
