2 Years Later

Maria’s POV

As I entered my English classroom, I couldn’t help but shiver at the memory of what happened here two years ago. Well, nearly two years ago, in a week it will be the exact date that the tragedy happened. Surprisingly, Valentine is still attending this school. And Mr Walker is still teaching me, unfortunately. I looked to the seat near the back of the class and noticed the still visible stain on the carpet. To everyone from the outside, it’s just a stain. Maybe someone spilled some juice? If only it was like that. These who were here know. And they sure as hell don’t want to remember it. Natasha died that day and as much as I tried to move on, I couldn’t. She was my best friend after all. Everyone acts like nothing happened, like they weren’t affected by any of it but the truth is, that everyone in one way or another liked her, even if they never admitted it. We all realised how much she meant to us the moment the trigger went and she crumpled to the floor. Valentine said that she deserved it, but she didn’t.

And from that moment on I came to despise Valentine and Mr Walker and the rest of their idiotic gang.

Every month, we have a memorial held in the park. Natasha’s favourite place, she used to spend hours there just sitting and thinking or spending time with her sisters. Obviously Valentine and Mr Walker don’t know about it if they did they would probably kill us. Literally. I smirked internally, it wouldn’t be so easy now. After the first memorial, our class decided that Natasha’s death couldn’t be forgotten. We formed a gang that only consisted of the people that saw her death and no one else knew about it. We are the third most feared gang in London and I’m proud to say that I am the leader of the Bloody Revenge Gang. As surprising as it sounds, we never killed a single person. Not one. We hurt many, but we never once killed.

I took my seat and looked at Sara. I remember, she was heartbroken, my best friend may have died but her best friend showed her true colors and probably ruined her life. She hasn’t smiled for two years now, neither of us have and even if we did, it was fake. We stopped hanging out with our friends and instead depended on each other. We support each other and to be honest we are a family. An unhappy one, but a strong family and our bond cannot be broken... Cheesy much?

The lesson went by and the class got dismissed we went to our usual place, behind the maths building and ate our lunches slowly as we knew we couldn’t say anything as we may be overheard.

Now, don’t think that we’re miserable and can’t get on with our lives. Because we have fun from time to time it just isn’t the same...

Natria Anastazja POV

Sitting around the table there were about ten people all in masks, some different than others. The tension in the air was palpable, I’m not that surprised, the news are definitely the worst news we had heard in years. I looked around and made eye contact with my sister and brothers. After giving them a curt nod, only noticed by them I looked at my father bowing my head in respect. The scraping of the chair broke the eerie silence as I stood up and make my way out the door of the conference room and up the stairs. Soon, more scraping is heard telling me that there is nothing more to say.

As I walk into my room I take my mask off. Standing in front of the mirror, I look at the girl in front of me. Tan skin, brown eyes, dark wavy hair. What can I say, I am beautiful. But right now I don’t even care. I turned my stereo on and Lights by Ellie Goulding come on. Depressing. I press the button and the next song is Dirty Mind by 3OH!3. Now that’ what I’m talking about! With a smile on my face  start dancing around the room forgetting about the reality. A couple of seconds later my sister Natria barges into the room and starts singing the words to the song.
