"So my son has woken up and taken a bride. But not just any bride, he was destined to marry her. I am pleased."

"We thought you would be, Lord Motoki," Zen said bowed before him.

"When you are well enough, go back and help them with the next step."

"But how are we to do that?" Chia asked.

"Take this," he said handing her a vile, "just place a few drops of this each of their drinks or food and they will, well let's just say Kenji will be able to return home," he said with a smile. Chia starred at the vile.

"You mean, this liquid is..."

"Yes, a "love" potion if you will."

"But sir, shouldn't we at least give them a chance to get to know one another and things happen naturally?" Chia asked.

"Well, I suppose we could try it your way, but if by the third month they have not consummated the union, you will use this. Oh and one more thing, you will not tell them about this potion. If you do I will become very upset. And you don't want that do you?"

Chia'a eyes grew big. "No, my lord."

"Good. Now, get some rest before going back."

They both bowed low then left. Lord Motoki grinned as he rested his head on his fist. "Soon, my son, you will be king."

"Good morning! Did you sleep well?" I smiled cheerfully at Kenji.

"Oh, good morning. I did sleep well. How are you?" He asked sitting.

"Much better, thank you. I have decided to take my new life by the horns. Here is an omelette I made, hope you enjoy it. I wasn't sure if you ate bacon and I have toast as well. Enjoy!"

Kenji stared at me. I only smiled as I stared back. He narrowed his eyes. "Why are you so happy? It's kinda scary."

My stomach lurched, blood rushed from my face, my smiled vanished. "Would you rather I was sad?" His eyes grew big from embarrassment.

"No, no! Forget I said anything," he bowed his head.

I laughed. "Not to sound mean or anything but you're not as proud as I thought you would be. I mean I thought fox demons where more proud than most?"

"I can be. I must still be groggy from sleeping for so long. I can act more proud and arrogant if you want." He quickly grabbed my wrist and forced me to the floor. He towered over me, pinning my arms above my head so I couldn't move or fight back. My face turned red as his breath tickled my neck. "Be careful what you wish for." His voice was low, his breath on my ear sent shivers down my body. I wiggled to get free, but I stayed calm. He is testing me. Seeing how I will react. I quickly met his lips with mine. His grip loosened giving me a chance to brake free from his hold and reverse the tables on him. I now sat on top, his arms trapped behind his back and my legs wrapped around his so he couldn't kick. I placed my free hand around his neck, applying pressure on a nerve keeping him in place. I lowered my head inches away from his face. "Now who's the damsel in distress?"

Kenji starred at me amused. He began to laugh loudly. "You really are an amazing woman. I think I'm falling in love with you." I was shocked to hear him say that. I climbed off him and then sat back in my chair. He stayed on the floor. He lay on his side propping his body up with is arm. "Did I say something I shouldn't have?" I gave him a side long glance. He was a very handsome man with his long white hair resting on his body, his deep blue eyes starring at me, his clear, white skin, and tail resting over his hip. My mouth went dry. I picked up my glass to wet my mouth. My hands shook slightly as I brought the cold glass to my lips. When I set it down again I said, "Why don't you eat your breakfast. I need to talk to you."

"Oh very well," he said sitting in his chair. "I can't wait for us to share a bed, I think it will be fun." I spat out the water in my mouth making it fly across the room. I coughed trying not to choke.

"I'm going to ignore that comment since I said something rude myself earlier. Now," I said taking a bite of bacon. "I have come up with a cover story for you. You are from Japan we met in my English class. You were not able to pay for housing for this semester and was evicted. All of your clothes and belongings are in a storage unit, so that will explain why you are wearing that kimono, but we will go shopping later for clothes. I heard of your trouble and took you in. Any questions?"

"Do you really think people will believe that story?"

"Well, by all means, come up with a better one." I challenged him with my eyes. He was taken aback for a moment, but quickly composed himself.

"Fine, we will try your story. But if people don't believe you don't say I didn't tell you so." I grind my teeth in frustration. "If you keep doing that you will loss your teeth."

"Then stop ticking me off!" I stormed out of the room and headed upstairs. I grabbed my bag with my school books inside then head to leave. I was stopped at the door by Kenji.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"I have class. Just stay here out of sight and if my uncle comes home stick with the story. And get rid of the stupid tail and ears!" I slammed the door in his face. "Okay, that may have been a bit too much, but I don't care, I'm too ticked to care." I remembered the way I felt when he was so close to me awhile ago. A shiver ran down my spine. I shook my head to get rid of the feeling I had. "Ridiculous!" I shouted as I drove to school.
