Kagami trudged into work the next day, dark circles under his eyes from no sleep. He had a few lost flyers still in his hands, but it felt hopeless.
"Hey, what happened, Kagami? You look terrible!" Tachibana rushed out from behind the counter to Kagami's side.
Kagami grabbed at his hair, holding up the fliers to Tachibana. "I can't find Aoumi, she was just gone yesterday."
Tachibana rubbed his back. "Maybe she will come back, you said she was like that before."
He nodded slowly. "I hope so. I'm going to keep looking for her tonight." He didn't have time to keep thinking about it. He put his stuff down and got washed up. He had to bake the pastries for the cafe. Customers always said they tasted better when Kagami made them instead of Tachibana.
Kagami stayed in the kitchen for most of the day. It was the best way he could manage to hold it together and not have to deal with customers. But when the pastries were done, had to bring them out to fill the display case.
He was putting the croissants into the case when the bell on the door dinged as it was opened. Kagami looked up to greet the customer, "welco-."
He trailed off when he saw the tall man with olive skin and blue hair. What Kagami noticed the most were the man's beautiful blue eyes that looked like the depths of the sea.
