● NIALL

I pull my angelic sword out of the dead Human's body, wiping the blood onto the Human's shirt. I look down at my handiwork and smirk. This picture is the best I'll ever see. There's a huge cut in the stomach and every internal organ is coming out of it. There's nothing that looks much better than this.

I hear a slow clap and turn to see my best mate, Harry, standing behind me. I do a sarcastic bow and he grins at me. We have been friends since we were born, and then we found Liam. Liam was just a Human, but he was an important Human; he was Harry's Soul Mate. I don't hate Liam, but he did kind of change my friend.

Maybe I should explain. A Soul Mate is someone you have a mystical Bond to. This Bond is unbreakable, even by rejection. You will still feel everything they feel from the moment you first touch them, even by accident. It's horrendously painful - or so I've been told.

Luckily, I haven't found my Soul Mate yet. You must be wondering why. It's because, when you have found your Soul Mate, you become attached to them for the first couple of weeks after you touch them. After that you can't stop thinking about them. That's what Harry and Liam are going through. Still.

It took Harry two thousand years to find Liam, and he is not letting him go anytime soon. When Liam was on his deathbed, one thousand years ago, Liam gave Harry no choice but to Turn him into one of us. He has been by our sides since that day. He has become one of us, and there's no way he is leaving.

"Well done, Niall," Harry says. "You are an artist at death."

I laugh. "So are you and Li."

"You're still better somehow."

"Being the Devil's son probably helps."

"No. It's just you. You were born for this."

"Every single one of us is."

"Even the others?" My voice is laced with disgust and I all but spit out the word.

"Even them."

Harry's eyes cloud over for a second and he smiles. "Liam wants us back."

"Let's go then."

Another perk of having a Soul Mate is that you can hear each others thoughts and feel their emotions rushing through them. It is also hard to stay away from them because you can feel their loneliness when you aren't with them and it gets harder to stay away the further you go into your relationship.

Without another thought on Soul Mates, I grab Harry's wrist and orb us back home. It's a weird place to be called home, but it's home. Liam and Harry's house, actually kitchen, surrounds us along with a yell. Harry is tackled to the floor and Liam is hugging him tightly.

"Liam!" Harry whines. "That hurt!"

"No it didn't," Liam says. "I know something that will though."

Harry goes red. "Liam, we have an audience."

Liam looks at me. "Oh. Hey, Nialler."

"Hey, Li," I say, smirking at the two. "Nice way to greet Haz here."

He goes red. "I didn't know you were here."

"Yes you did," Harry says. "You just ignored him."

"Harry!"

I laugh. "I've got to go anyway. Have fun."

"Oh, we will."

Harry's eyes all but bulge out of his head. "LIAM!"
