High school/ Kiki's 14 year old pov
It's my first year of high school, me and Sebastian haven't talked much since the incident 5 years ago. We still share a room but I got my own bed on my 10th birthday. I almost forgot, me and Sebastian go to the same school.The high school is also connected to the college. Sebastian is a senior now, when I walked into the school I saw him making out with a girl. She had a nice olive skin tone with long wavy black hair and some blue highlights. I ran up the stairs and I knew he saw me since I could hear his footsteps running after me.
About 3 years ago I started to realize that my hearing was heightened. I sat down on the wall next to the stairs, putting my legs to my chest, resting my head on my knees as tears pricked and fell from my eyes onto the ground. I knew it was Sebastian since had a weird habit of picking me up from behind and cradling me in his lap. I quickly stood up and ran away from him again. I was still really small so I hid behind a soda machine that was about a foot from the wall. There was a small hole in the wall big enough to fit a small child like me.
Sebastian's 18 year old pov
I was making out with my new girlfriend, Maryell, and with my demon hearing I heard Kiki's shoes running away. Since the incident 5 years ago, she had a habit of running away from me except at bedtime since we share a room. I quickly tell Maryell that I will see her later. I ran fast but not to fast since the only people who know I'm a demon are the people who live in my house. I followed Kiki upstairs till I found her in a ball by the stairs.
I sat down cross legged and picked her up, cradling her in my arms till she forced herself from my grip and quickly ran away again. I always ran after her because if I'm being completely honest, I care about her more than anything even though I managed to gain anger issues due to me being a demon. I jumped up and went after her, but, I found I couldn't hear her anymore because a bunch of students were heading to tutorials.
