Government Rules

"The  World Government has taken the serious decision that all  the second-born children fitting the relevant criteria,  and, having attained the age of sixteen, will be removed from their families and placed with adoptive parents within the  Regeneration  Ageplay community. As there has been no reduction in the numbers of men suffering infertility as a result of the ongoing pandemic, the Government has, with a heavy heart, announced that this intervention will start immediately. The President  has made it  crystal clear that there will be no exceptions to this ruling.Testing will start tomorrow and any attempts at avoidance will be severely punished."The World Government President spokesperson glared out from the Television screen as he finished his announcement to the world. The screen then went blank as the broadcast ended.

Maura Horan had been listening to the TV broadcast with tears pouring down her cheeks. She raised red-rimmed eyes to her husband, Bobby as she sobbed. There had been rumors for months, but she had thought that that was all it was, just rumors. Now reality was setting in. Surely the Government was joking? But then, she knew, they didn't joke. The pandemic that had rocked the world, was still affecting life badly. And there  still seemed no end in sight.

"Maura, honey, don't take on so. Niall may be 16, but they haven't said what the criteria that is required for them to be taken will entail. Maybe Niall won't be suitable."  Bobby tried to reassure his wife but he knew he didn't sound convincing. The  World Government now ruled with a rod of iron and people had no choice. They couldn't even flee the country as the same control was being exhibited worldwide. He collapsed down onto the couch next to his wife and they sobbed in each other's arms.

"Lou, over here!" Niall yelled and Louis kicked the ball in his direction. Niall wasted no time and aimed for the net, screaming loudly when he scored a goal. The two boys high fived each other then their teammates as the final whistle blew and the hot and sweaty boys trouped off the field. They loved the fact their team was doing so well.

"Off to the showers boys," Coach Paul Higgins shouted above the sounds of jubilation. He then turned, frowning, when Principle Cowell headed towards him, a grim expression on his face. The boys gave curious glances as they passed, as the pair talked together, but were so wrapped up in their celebrations that the horrified look on the faces of both men didn't cause them any alarm.

"Is it true?"Paul asked Simon who responded with a tight lipped nod. "Sh*t"

"They announced it a few hours ago. I've already had a Government official on the phone. He'll be here tomorrow to collect all the information on our students. He'll also be viewing them to see who looks like they match what they are looking for. He's bringing  several pediatricians and nursing staff with him. I'm scared Paul, fcking scared. I can't believe it has come to this."

"Is there any way we can hide the kids who might be taken?" Paul asked quietly. "There has to be something we can do!"

"Like what?" Simon replied. "We don't have a clue what they are looking for so we don't know who we need to protect. All we do know for certain, is that the kids who have older siblings are the ones as risk. "

"Ok, so we  can try and hide them." Paul responded. "We can't just let it happen, Simon. These kids need our protection." Simon nodded and placed a hand on Paul's shoulder then walked away, head down. He wanted to protect the children but he didn't see how it could be done. Even if they managed to hide them, the  World Government would find them.Ever since the Pandemic started  six years ago, the Government had grown in power. Every day seemed to bring new laws and the punishments for breaking them could be harsh. He closed his office door behind him then started to pull up the information he held on every student to see who had siblings and had reached the age of sixteen. He sighed heavily as he started to list the names.
