Well band camp went by and I still haven't worked up the courage to talk to him..... Its the week of our third game, Sunday night to be exact. I'm sitting in my bed eating my supper in my favorite sweats watching some cartoon I found on Netflix, when my phone buzzed and I pick it up to see a random number has texted me with the simple words:
'Hey Hannah'
Well if that don't creep the hell out of you I don't know what will. I decided to answer the mystery person with:
'Hey, who's is this?'
About 2 minutes later *buzz buzz*
'Oh my bad, its Justin from band'
Well that's great, we have 4 Justin in the marching band...
'Which one?'
3 minutes later...
'Harris. The other Justin trombone.'
Oh now I get it
'Oh hi there. Um how did you get my number? Mean I don't mind but I just want to know'
'Oh Preston gave it to me. When I asked for it...'
And me being the oblivious person I am, I say
'Oh cool. Well hey there.'
We talked for about 4 hours then decided we should problem go to bed, at 12, since we had school tomorrow.
*New Plan*
1: find Justin Harris
2: become good friends with him
3: sit with him on band bus
4: become girlfriend of Justin Harris
Thats a solid plan....right?
The next day when I went to band class I asked all my friends if they knew who he was but all I got was 6 maybes. Well the rest of the day I was thinking about how I was going to find this Justin Harris and what I was going to say when I did find him.
Band practice came sooner than I wouldve liked for it to but never mind that, its time to find him.
'Hey Preston'
'Well hey Hannah. What's up?'
'Oh nothing much. Hey um..did you give my number to a Justin Harris guy?'
'Yeah couple weeks ago. Crap I never told you that did I?'
'Um no you didn't but thats ok. I just have one question.'
'Alright. Ask away'
'Who the hell is he?'
'Oh well me and him have been friends since kindergarten. He's a great guy and treats everyone with respect, mainly because he knows what its like not to get any'
'Well I can't wait to be friends with him' I said with a cheesy smile.
