Chapter 1

Nicky’s P.O.V

Something vibrated on my face, I groaned sitting up groggily, I yawned and checked my phone, I had 2 new messages, one was from my best friend Belle, and the other was from Alex, I can’t describe him, he is amazing in every way, I really like him, but I don’t think he feels the same way.  We met coincidently at Disney Castle when we were 5, I was visiting from New York, and He lived in Wisconsin, our parents kept in touch, because we got along so well.  A few years back I moved to Florida, Alex played video games with someone who lived in the same area, and he had a younger sister that I started to hang out with, we are now amazing friends.  I opened Belle’s message first “Hello Nicky, good morning :) hope you have an amazing day. Do you want to meet at the mall to get bathing suits for the beach party tonight?”  “Sure, time and place and I’ll be there ;)”  After I replied, I opened Alex’s message “Morning Nicky Bear, schools cancelled coffee shop in 20?”  I laughed “You read my mind I’ll be there” I rushed around the room trying to find something to wear.  After five minutes and thoroughly tearing my closet apart, I decided on Black jean shorts, and a black and white tank top, we were only going to Starbucks. 

After I got dressed, I found my flip flops, slipped my phone into my pocket, and grabbed a $20 from my wallet, I rushed out of my bedroom,  deciding on being very childish, I slid down the banister, like Alex and I would do, when we have movie nights, except this time I slammed into my older brother Jacob.  “Whoa little sis, can’t have you getting hurt this early in the morning.” He laughed, “Jacob would you be the best brother ever, and give me a ride to Starbucks, please, please, please!” I begged “No Nicky, that’s 9 times this month!” I gave him bambi eyes “Fine Nicky but never again! Do you hear me, never again!” He was very adamant about never again.  As we walked out to his car he realized that his car was in the shop.  My phone vibrated “Where are you?” Alex had texted me, I checked my phone I was five minutes late “My ride’s car is in the shop sorry” I replied “Gimme 5” he said. 

Five minutes later, I heard a car horn.  To my brother I said “Jacob, I found another ride!” He wasn’t paying much attention, so I grabbed my house key, and wallet, and slipped them into my pocket.  As I went outside I closed the door behind me, and skipped over to Alex’s car, he leaned over and opened the door for me, and I thanked him as I hopped in, I really loved his car, it wasn’t my dream mustang, but it was a very simple jeep wrangler, it was awesome.

“Oh! Before I forget, have a Happy Birthday Nicky!”  Oh! It was my birthday oh well, I wonder if Jacob remembered, you never really know with him so I guess we will see.  

            As we finally got to Starbucks, we got our usual’s, He insisted on paying, even though I told him, I had the money, and I didn’t need him to pay for me

As we sat down, I asked him how school was going, he chuckled “Nicky, we go to the same school.” He said, still laughing “So, we have the same classes too, but I bet you have a better time in school than me.” I stated, “And why would that be” He said. “Because you have friends there, I only have Belle, and she is homeschooled.” I stated, truthfully. “But you have me, you know you do.” He said “How could I talk to you, you are popular, and have a girlfriend, who really doesn’t like me, and wouldn’t approve of me hanging out with you.”  I said, “Don’t pretend not to notice how she hates me.” I said “Nicky, I know she doesn’t like you, but it doesn’t mean I don’t like you.” He said.  “But whenever you guys are together, I can’t hang out with you, because of her.” I said.  “What do you mean?” He questioned me. “She gives me glares every time I come anywhere near you.” I stated.  “No she, wait she does that to you Nicky?” He asked innocently. “Yes she does that to me, how could you not know that! You are with her almost every day.” I said.  “Well I don’t pay attention to what she does, at every moment of the day. “ He said.  “Look I am not blaming you; I was just letting you know.”  I said.
