The Story Continues

What!?

It was scorching hot. Lisa was spread across the front lawn, enjoying the coolness that the sprinklers gave her. All of the passerby stopped and did a double take; Lisa ignored them all. She was hot, and she needed to get cooled down…this was her only option.

"Lisa? What are doing?!"

Lisa opened her eyes and raised a brow at Rosé. Wasn't it obvious? "I'm cooling down. Want to join?"

"Uh…no! Will you get up, people are staring!"

"Let them stare. YOU HEAR ME YOU CAN STARE ALL YOU WANT?" She yelled the latter to no one in particular. Just then, the sprinklers turned off. "Dang it! Now what? I can already feel myself drying up."

Rosé gaped at Lisa; she wasn't even close to drying up! She was soaking wet from head to toe!

"Did you hit your head when you were younger?"

"No. But my dad did drop me down an escalator once…I was in my stroller; I'm surprised I even remember that…"

Rosé shook her head; Lisa had gone off in her own little world.

"Oh! There was this one time when I fell off the steps of the garage. My dad told me I tumbled down while in my walker…I did hit my head that one time, from what he told me…"

"That explains a lot."

"I know! Who leaves the garage door open when you have a baby bouncing in a walker?!"

Rosé was going to tell her that that wasn't what she meant, but she held her tongue. "Are you really not going to attend Jungkook's wedding?"

"…Yeah. I mean it's a two thousand dollar trip!"

"But he's your friend!"

"I know that!"

"Then you should come…"

"Why? V's not going."

"That's because Jungkook is not his friend!"

"So? Euhna's going!"

"Argh! You are so stubborn! You have to go!"

"Why?"

"To stop the wedding!"

"Why would I do that? I know I do crazy things but stopping a wedding—"

"Quit floating in  denial!"

"I'm not. It's more like drowning…"

Rosé wanted to rip her hair out, but instead chose to walk away. If she wanted to play pretend, that's fine with her. Lisa watched Rosé walk into the house and slam the front door. What should she do now? She heard a sprinkler go off on the other side of the street. Would she get in trouble if she lay there? Better find out.
