The setting was perfect. Candlelight, polished cutlery and a single rose set in a delicate vase at each table. The soft, sweet music of the violin kept the mood amorous. Skye sat at one of the tables, the one nearest to the gauze walls of the roof.
As I walked towards him, he stood up to greet me. He looked dazzling tonight; his well tailored suit did little to hide the wide expanse of his broad chest. His hair was brushed back and it gleamed in the candlelight. He smiled at me as I approached.
"You look positively radiant, tonight." He complimented me, smiling. He took my right hand and brushed a soft, lingering kiss on it. Shivers of delight ran down my spine.
"And you also look dazzling yourself." I said in a low, breathy voice. Skye's eyes shimmered with an unknown feeling that, made my insides quiver with anticipation.
