Finishing our champagne, Skye called on the waiter to give us the menu. As I pondered over what to have, I noticed Skye watching me over his menu card. After a moment, he asked:

"Have you made your choice?"

I looked back down at my card.
"Yes. I think I'll have Parmesan Risotto with Roasted Shrimp. What would you have?"

"I'll have Smoked Salmon Potato Cakes with Herbed Crème Fraîche." Skye answered.

Minutes later, our food was placed before us. It smelled marvellous. Taking my spoon among the glinting cutlery, on the lace tablecloth, I took a trial taste of my dish. It tasted delicious and appetizing. Skye also took generous bites of his food.

As we dined, the delicate clink of our cutlery against the china of our platter, conversed. I savoured every moment of the fine dish.
