Part 5: The Trail

Iida apologies to Izuku and as he finishes Ochaco shows up and starts talking to him. I smile lightly until I see a large yellow worm-like thing behind Ochaco. Mr. Aizawa! I think as I shut my mouth and mentally prepare for the challenge he was no doubt going to put us through. "Put on these," He tells us holding out a UA pe uniform. Oh, so physical tests. I think as I grab one and change into it with Ochaco. I zone out as Mr. Aizawa started to talk about how we could use our quirks during the physical exam until I hear him throw out a threat, I couldn't ignore. "The person in last has no potential and therefore will be expelled," I look into his dry eyes and can tell that he's serious.

"Satsuki and Bakugo, you got the highest scores on the practical exam, how far did you throw a softball in middle school?" Mr. Aizawa asks and I realize that Bakugo is the one who will be demonstrating today.

"I throw an average of 130 meters without my quirk and about 1,000 meters with my quirk," I tell Mr. Aizawa and he seems confused. "I was homeschooled, my sister and I would throw the softball as a competition of sorts. WE would compare how far we could throw it with and without our quirks," I reply and he nods lightly with confusion if how I throw the ball so far without my quirk.

"About 65 meters," He tells Aizawa with a freshly made mint in his mouth with a calming effect. Well, I guess my quirk isn't useless.

"Bakugo, now try throwing the softball with your quirk," Aizawa says handing him the softball and Bakugo adds a little heat to the ball making it sour over 700 meters. Mr. Aizawa then has us compete in sports. I decide to hold back a little and get 1st place by a smaller margin or a tie. I begin the competition and focus on staying at the same place as Momo Yaoyorozu so that I can get 1st place. When I hold back on the ball throw and only use part of my quirk, I see Mr. Aizawa glare at me but otherwise, he stayed silent.

However, it was clear he had enough when he tried to expel me from school. "Izuku Midoriya you can stay, instead it's Satsuki who will be expelled," He says and while I refuse to protest, Momo stands up for me.

"Wait, sir! Satsuki got first place tied with me! Please, explain the decision!" She called out.

"Satsuki isn't taking this course seriously," Mr. Aizawa says bluntly and I give him a small cocky smile. "She's been holding back on every event, she hasn't used her quirk and it isn't self-destructive like Midoriya's from what I can see," He tells them and I let out a slight sigh.

"I'm sorry but if I had used all my physical strength and my quirk then I don't believe that I would remain safe. Besides, I have training later and I do not want to overuse my quirk to the point I use the part I forbid myself from using," I reply and then I give him a bright smile. "I'm sorry but I'm afraid that using my quirk for more than one event is out of the question, however this time I'll use all my physical strength!" I say cheerfully and he permits me.

After I finish I'm low on breath but now I'm in the top spot alone. "There, Mr. Aizawa, does this mean I get to stay?" I asked with slight concern in my voice.

"Yeah, that works, but Satsuki I still need to speak with you after class," He tells me as I gain my breath and nod.

The class ends and I stay in my seat by the door as everyone passes by. "Izuku! Ochaco!" I call out grasping the pair's attention. "Do you guys want to walk home together after this!?" I ask and after they say yes I feel a pair of eyes on me. I turn towards them and see the guy with two-toned hair and different colored eyes staring at me. I smile and wave at him but he simply pretends not to notice.

"What's your quirk?" Mr. Aizawa asks me and I feel my gaze harden.

"I refuse to speak about such matters without the principle present and my boss or sister," I reply before smiling up at the taller man. "However, I'm fine with telling you which of the events I used my quirk during!" I say remembering the tiny piece of dark chocolate I had slipped into my mouth before I had started the distance run.
