Chapter 1- The Roadtrip

Chapter 1

“I love you mom! Love you daddy! I’ll miss you!” I say to my parents from the window of the bus.

This is gonna be fun. Me, alone and away from my parents in a summer trip to London. Wow, I seriously don’t know how I convinced them to go. I’m so excited. This is the first road trip I have permission to go by myself. In the past years or I didn’t have permission to go or my mom and dad were coming with me. Let me tell you it is actually kinda awkward to have your parents in the hotel room with your friends telling you to wash your teeth and to go to sleep at 9:30.

“Nicole Benson?” I hear my teacher say my name. She was taking the assistance and checking if there were absent students.

“I’m here!” I wave my right hand to make sure she saw me.

In the distance I see two girls running as fast as they can to get to the bus. I had to narrow my eyes to see that those two crazy girls were Savannah and Charlotte screaming to the bus driver to stop the bus. Both girls try to look presentable before getting in the bus by quickly brushing their hair with their hands and trying to catch their breath.

“Oh god, this girls” I say in a whisper voice.

“Well, well, look who just arrived” said my teacher.

Savannah makes a fake smile trying to control herself. She’s a pretty girl. She has long brown hair with bouncing curls. She has caramel skin color and big dark brown eyes. I see why guys fall for her. And Charlotte, well she doesn’t stay behind. She has average size wavy brown hair and dark brown eyes. She is also very pretty.

Both, Charlotte and Savannah walk toward me. They are my best friends. They are not my only best friends. There is also Mary “the little one” and Natasha, the tall one. We call Mary “the little one” because she is small in height ,we could say. She is very cute, she has long light brown hair and she is the whitest girl I’ve met in my whole life. And Natasha, well, she is very tall, she is also a shy girl, but when you get to really know her, DAMN! She can be the funniest person ever. She uses glasses and she is brunette.

Mary and Natasha are sitting in the front sits.

“Hey love! Did we misssomething?” savannah asked.

“Nop, anything, they were just taking attendance.” Mary replied.

“Oh my gosh, I can’t believe we are finally here!!! I’m so excited! I’ve never been there before, but they say that british boys are hot! , Said Charlotte with a big smile on her round face.

I couldn’t help but giggle and exchange faces with Natasha. That’s the only thing charlotte thinks about. Guys.

“You wish, love. Well, this is going to be a long trip so I’m gonna get some sleep. See you later girls!” said savannah putting on a pair of sunglasses.

“Ok, I’m gonna read, what are you going to do Nicole?” Said Charlotte

“You? You are going to read? Are you serious? Ok, if you want to.” I say trying not to laugh. She hates to read . I know she does.

“Well, a magazine, but at least that’s something, isn’t it?” she said

“Yeah sure.” I turn on my IPod, shuffle it, put my headphones on, and eat a chocolate bar.

“Nights! I think I am also gonna get a little sleep.” said Natasha while yawning.

This was actually going to be a long trip. As the bus went on, I just saw the beautiful nature from my window. As we go along I start to see different things that I never saw at home. I start to feel my eyes slowly closing, trying to get some rest and gain energy. In a matter of seconds I fell into a deep sleep.

I wake up because I hear lots of voices speaking. I open my eyes to the blinding light and see what time it was. 2 o’clock, wow I slept 4 hours.

“Raise and shine baby” said Savannah with a smile on her face.

“Oh my God!! Oh my God! We are almost there! Look, look!” Charlotte had a face expression I couldn’t describe.

“HOLY MOTHER!” I hear Mary say.

This has to be good. I turn around to see what she was telling me to see. It was beautiful. London.

“Wow” I say amazed by the beauty of this place.
