"AHHHHHHHH" Nadia woke up panicking and breathing heavily. She sat there for a second trying to process her surroundings. She had been having night terrors since she was 12. They weren't as often as they used to be but they were still happening.
She stood up trying to reach the light switch when her head started pounding.
"Fucking Low Iron. " she grunted and walked towards the switch and turned on the lights. She sat down and turned on the T.V
She texted her Friend Joy Seeing if she's up

Joy? You up?
Wake yo ass up
SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK WAKE TF UP.

"Of course shes sleep. This bitch sleeps like a bear. Fuck it ill just relax"
Arlo's Room
Arlo heard Nadia scream.
"Man Fuck the police" she mutters to herself.
She knew it was a night terror. But she wouldn't go in there. Even though they've been friends for years they never brung up their past. Not very detailed at least. Arlo knew that Nadia's mother was killed by an officer. It was all over the news. A huge case. But Nadia Never Talked about it past that. She would always change the subject. That didn't bother Arlo. She understood. She never brung up her past, And Nadia never asked her about it. It was an unspoken rule between them.
The next morning
Nadia woke up. She stretched and went downstairs. She went to go get a bowl of her favorite cereal. Frosted flakes.
Arlo walked downstairs
"Goodmorning" she said
"Morning" Nadia replied with a raspy voice.
"Did you finish watching Boku no academia?" Arlo asked
"No" Nadia responded. "I'm only on season 2 episodes 32"
"WHAT! You need to catch up. Seson five just came out. What are you doing? "
"I dont know. I just don't feel like watching it or doing anything" Nadia said
"Thats cool. Let's binge a few episodes right now. We don't have anything else to do" Arlo responded with.
"Okay make your food ill turn it on"
As Nadia was turing on Hulu she checked her phone. Joy texted her.
"My bad. I popped too many melatonin gummies and I was slumppped. What's up though?"
"Are you trying to hibernate? Take two before you turn in to snow white.😂"
"As long as you're my prince I don't mind😉"
"Yea sure🙄. Are we still meeting up with the boys?"
"Yea let's go text the groupchat just to be sure."
Group chat messages
Joy: hey hoess. are we still on for today? I have to settle something with a dumb boy who thinks he's faster than me.
Tyon: aw shit, here we go again.
Kyon: Who The FUCK Do You Think You are?
Joy: The Bitch whose gonna beat yo ass today. Period. 💅🏾

Joy: how about the plaza? they have alot of restaurants and we can just pick one there.🤷🏾♀️

Nadia and Arlo Watched My Hero Academia for the next 3 hours.
"Damn. Deku lucky as hell, and he's only at 10 percent? He gonna be OP asf" Nadia said as she stood up and stretched.
"Yea and just wait till we get to season 4. Shit gets crazy in season 4" Arlo responded.
"I'm going out with Joy, Tyon, and Kyon. Ill be back later"
"Okay. I might go out with Nyx and Nelly. So when you get back I might not be here. Don't forget your key. "
"Okay" Nadia said as she walked up the steps. She went to her closet and called Joy.
She answered
Nadia: What the outfit plan?
Joy: I would say wear something sexy😏 but the boys will be there.😔 so how about sweatpants, air force ones, baggy shirt and golden necklace?
Nadia: ah you know exactly how I dress. Also even if the boys weren't there you wouldn't get anything "sexy". Ill charge you before I do it for free.
Joy: youre so mean🥺.
Nadia: Yea whatever. Ill meet you at the park then we'll go meet up with the boys.
Joy: ok byeee
*Call ends*
Nadia got dressed in grey nike sweatpants, her crisp white air force ones, and a baggy white shirt that had Tupac on it.
Nadia was a brownskin girl. She had black box braids with some red ones and a beautiful body. She was 5"9. You'd think that's really tall but Arlo is 5"11 and the boys were 6" each! So she still felt small.
She grabbed her bike and rode to the park.
