getting out?

It's been a few weeks since the accident in our house. Like expected, the news about the artificial soul made the entire tour of the Underground. Of course, me and Sans made sure to watch carefully the soul's growing progress and we kept an eye out for any anomaly. So far, the soul was almost complete and didn't have any problems. I was taking notes of the soul's evolution when Sans came and hugged me from behind.

You- Hey Sans.

Sans- Hey (y/n). Anything new?

You- The soul's almost complete! In a couple of days, it should be completely developed. But before we get out, I'll have to try and make everyone understand the basic laws of the surface.

Sans- Maby if you tell the king, they'll be more willing to apply them if it's him saying it?

You- Yeah, but still, it'll be hard to explain that they can't kill, hurt, threaten or use their magic on the surface. I hope that it will not cause an other war.

Sans- Yeah, hopefully...

He buried his face in the crook of my neck, peppering it with small kisses. I laughed a bit since it tickled, so he decided to tickle me for real. He brought his boney hands to my sides and tickled me. I bursted out in laughter, trying to push him away, but he used his magic to hold me.

You- Sans stooOoOoP! HaHAhAhaHa!

He started laughing too and stopped after a few minutes. I was breathing heavily since I couldn't breath from laughing so much. I wiped some tears and so did Sans. We looked at eachother and smiled. I hugged him gently and then went back to my notes.

You- Who do you think should have the souls?

Sans- Hmm... Well, it should be the king, but I have a feeling that it's a bad idea.

You- Yea, because if war broke between humans and monsters, he'd probably use the powers to destroy the entire human race.

Sans- Yea, and that's not what we want.

You- I think you should absorb them.

Sans- Me?! Why?!

You- Because, first, I know you wouldn't use them badly, two, if you did, I'd stop you and three, I think you and me represent pretty much the peace between monsters and humans right?

Sans-.... Damn, you really thought this through. You already thought of it didn't you?

You- Well, yea, I had too plan a bit so it wouldn't turn to chaos.

Sans- You know what, I don't know how I got a girlfriend this perfect.

You- Oh come on, I'm not this perfect.
Beside, if I was perfect, I wouldn't even be here in the first place.

Sans- He, I guess you're right.

He pecked my cheek then walked out to go... somewhere. I went back to my boring notes. I took the nearest chair and sat in front of the glowing heart in the container. I eventually got tired of just watching it, so I started to draw some doodles on my note pages. The soul was almost complete.... what would we do when the barrier is not gonna be there anymore? Will an other war break between humans and monsters?

You- *sigh* I really have to stop thinking like that.

~time skip~

Today, was the big day. The soul was finally completed. Sans was gonna become a god. We both agreed that it would be the safest thing to do, but we had to keep it secret, because of course, if the king knew about it before Sans absorbed the souls, it would be reaaaally bad. We passed about an hour or so preparing the room for the absorption. The containers were all set the only things left were the wires that connected the containers to my remote. I would be the one opening the things so that the souls would be free. Of course, I was worried sick, what would happen to Sans, would he change? Would he die? What if it doesn't work? I was doing circles, biting my nails and muttering my doubts.
