Sara is what we can call a bookworm. Every day she'd go to the library of her school at lunch time and read some pages of books. She's also one of the first of her class and helps the teachers. In clear, she is a nerd. But she also is one of the prettiest girl of her school, the boys would dream to go out with her, but she's hard to catch. Indeed, she doesn't seem very interested. Always the nose in her books, she wouldn't really notice all the looks and that would sometimes put her in weird situations. One time, she hit a door, head first in the middle of the corridor because she could only think about what was about to happen to the skater girl stuck on top of this really high mountain, hunted by bionic monkeys. Would she jump? Would she fight? Well.... she never knew: the shock was so strong that she passed out and woke up in the nurse office a few minutes later. When she finally came to realise where she was, all she could find was another girl sleeping in the bed next to hers. When the nurse came back, Sara asked if this girl was okay. Question to which the nurse answered that she fainted in the middle of her exam but she probably just had to rest. Not asking more, Sara put a pack of ice on the forming bruise on her forehead and went out of the office in order to go back home.
The meeting went by pretty quickly and Violet met up with her friends afterwards. She tells them about the girl who came and talked to her, but she doesn't tell them she gave her her number because she knows they would use it. They like to do that to annoy her. And, she doesn't know why but she has a good feeling about this girl. At least she seems nice. But she will probably never see her again, given she would never go back to these meetings. It's weird in there, people just explain what they're feeling and everyone listens, some of them even cried once or twice. Why would she do that, she's fine by herself, she has control. She wonders why her friends worry that much.Deep down she knows something is wrong, she knows she's slowly drowning but doesn't want her friends to worry about her, they have they're own problems, what she feels is just something that will bother them. She can deal with it herself. Anyway she's probably even exaggerating everything, as she always does, so why would she need help ?
Days pass and the two girls don't see each other, but Sara is like printed in Violet's brain. Even when she doesn't want to think about her, when she's out with her friends, she just has to see a girl with the same hair colour or even as little as a a person being a girl with eye liner, and she will instantly think about the mysterious girl. She doesn't know why this girl is in her head, she barely talked to her. Until one day, a week or so after they first meet, Violet catches the sight of someone who looks just like Sara, same hair, same eyes, same laugh. She follows her through but the other one doesn't perceive her and keeps on walking. Violet doesn't want to disturb her so she says nothing but her friends catch everything and start questioning her about that. She isn't able to answer all the questions they ask but at the end, they make her promise to send her a text that very evening. But she tells them that she lost the piece of paper. So several days go by, during which she sees the happy girl everywhere. At lunch, in the hallways, even once in her supermarket. But the other never seems to pay attention to her. Well... Violet doesn't try to catch her attention either. Unfortunately instead of making her want to send a text to this girls, all these one sided meetings make her worry even more that she will disturb her. And that's her biggest fear. All this doesn't stop her from looking at the piece of paper she preciously kept in a box.
