21 years ago two years before Kega's death (Suginamigaku orphanage)
Shota pov

Me and my sister, Kega stood infront of the headmaster. to him we must have looked like a rotten sack of potatoes. we were basically homeless children from Tokyo who stumbled into this orphanage.
"welcome to the Suginamigaku orphanage I believe you two need a place to stay." he said in a kind voice. I nodded sheepishly while my 8 year old sister huddled behind me. I pulled my sister out from behind me.
"I'm Shota and this is my younger sister Kega. we come from the family that goes by Aizawa. our mother died and so our father kicked us out telling us it was-" I didn't continue since the headmaster just put a hand up. out of fear I took a step backwards afraid he was gonna slap his hand down on either me or Kega.
"don't worry children I'm not gonna hurt you. come this way the other children will be happy to stay with you for until I can either talk some sense into the Aizawa family or get you a new home completely." the headmaster smiled and guided me and my sister to a room where tons of other children were playing and talking with each other. the youngest was at least 6 and the eldest looked around 14 years old. many white beds had been lined up against the walls.
"By the way my name is Mr. Mizuno. My son is here somewhere." the headmaster smiled at the two of us. I nodded.
"Asahi you have new friends!" Mr. Mizuno called out, seconds later a boy around my age skipped over to us. he looked similar to his father but instead of dark brown eyes the boy had striking purple eyes. I stared at him wondering if he could be trusted. he seemed nice. though the second his father turned around to leave the boy kicked me hard in the shin making me double over onto the ground. without time to get back up and catch my breath he grabbed Kega by the hair and yanked her upwards where she kicked and screamed. helpless to the boys grip. to make matters even worse Asahi pulled a pocket knife his father must not have known about and cut a deep line into Kega's forehead making both of us scream out in udder pain and horror.

a year and a half after being in the orphanage.

It seemed that every new girl got a scar similar to my sisters forehead scar. I hated Asahi but his father was super nice to both me and Kega but the horrible day came when he said that he'd found our father and talked sense into him. he claimed that Mr. Aizawa wasn't in a good state of mind and was ready to take back the children.
