Melanie's Pov:

"Melanie..." Meredith says gently from the door way to the hospital room. "Yeah?" I ask in a whisper. "How are you feeling?" she asks and I shrug.

"I guess, it's just another argument." I say and walk out of the room. "Mel, he didn't mean what he said." Meredith says catching up to me. "Which part? The i was a mistake or I'm gonna get no where in life? Because I'm never going to forget either." I say walking into the lunch room.

I spot Yang at the table with George, Izzie, Alex and ..... Sloan? Whatever. I sit next to Yang, forcing Meredith to sit next to Mark. "What's the frown about?" Christina whispers and I tell her everything, whispering of course.

"Mel, ignore him. He's just McGrumpy that Addison is here." Christina says and I laugh. "Melanie. Here now." My dad orders from the doorway and I ignore him. "Melanie." He says in a threatening tone.

"Oh shut up Derek! Remember I'm just a mistake who will get no where in life?" I snap and everyone at the table looks between the two of us. "Mel calm down." Christina whispers and I shrug her off. "Don't give me attitude!" He says and I roll my eyes. "Oh please, suck my dick." I scoff and push past him to find Bailey.

"You can stay here tonight if you need to. I'm gonna be here." She offers and I nod. "Yes please." I mumble while eating a chocolate bar.

"Melanie!" Meredith sighs f relief when she sees me and I send her a weak smile. "Oh hey." I say kicking my feet.

"Your dad- he's worried sick." She says while hugging me. "I don't wanna see him, I'm spending the night here with Bailey." I smile and she nods. "As long as you safe, here's my number if you need anything." She says handing me a note and walks away.

"Room 302 is open, get some sleep kid." Bailey says and I smile. "Thanks, night Bail!"

"Goodnight Kiddo."
